  1. 22mm is the approx measure u need. I just did a quick google search of 22mm speedglas elevator bolts (these are for welding helmets) and here are a couple examples that may work... The knurled end would go on the interior of ur bucket while the flat thin part is what is visible on the exterior. Those aluminum ones look durable as heck I may grab a set to test as I have resin replicas at the moment which are bit fragile lol...tho for Level 2 they need to be concave. The other set is a plastic one and by the pic looks to be concave. You would use the bolt and the round black piece on the interior. Again just examples...looks to be plenty of sources out there though...so shop around.
  2. There should be holes in the side of ur visor and dome and the bolts just install there. Screwed in. Were bolts sent with the kit?
  3. Great! look forward to it and hopefully we can make sure there are no glaring issues before you head into approval...even when vendors have had stuff approved by other members/GMLs it always boils down to the accuracy of the individual build/fit. Tagging our Del experts @TX-20113 and @MahXPrime...and @Blackwatch who is becoming one himself lol.
  4. My bucket (same type of split dome build)...I put abs strips inside as you BUT also fiberglassed the interior seam. then did the bondo on the exterior...and with that just be patient with the sanding and making sure its nice and smooth
  5. Looking forward to seeing the progress. Also tagging fellow Spec Ops member from Bast Alpha @Blackwatch
  6. You are getting into a sensitive discussion that I would advise be held off on for the time being as those discussions need to happen with Legion officers...and really cant be held until an approval has happened (or not), not necessarily here. We offer costume input and guidance at the detachment and manage the CRL. We are not responsible for membership approval. My suggestion is to post pictures of your build so we can address the details you are in question about that you think may be assessed unfairly (unless you are alluding to something apart from the costume which would definitely be outside of the scope of the detachment).
  7. GET WELL!!! @nanotek can u chime in here plz. thx!
  8. Hmmm. Im not sure of any vendors selling different sized belt parts but Im sure u can ask. The first solution that comes to mind is just heating the belt piece a bit (carefully) and forming it to your shape. See how that goes first. Some vendors sell pre-formed belts (which you would have to reform) and others it comes a s a flat piece that requires forming regardless.
  9. If you are doing a gloss finish...just make sure the decals are matte to contrast. That's what Trooperbay's standard decals are I believe, but best to message them and check. I know I had to special request gloss decals for my satin finish. Ur greeblies...matte will be good w/ the gloss finish.
  10. trooperbay used to carry material for it tho im sure it can be had elsewhere
  11. it is called a "Detonite Charge" in game. You would know far better than me lol.
  12. How about the official EA promo images? Just asking.
  13. What parts of your kit are concerning regarding a basic approval @Jayse01 as incorrect details in the CRL? We are in the process of a major Del Meeko update to correct certain things and/or add Level 2 items. GMLs handle all approvals. What do you mean by "independent review?"
  14. I went in game...for Supremacy (which doesnt allow cross-era character play)...only the E-11 is an option now...along with the rocket launcher
  15. What system do you play on btw lol?
  16. Regarding different CRLs...we can approach it as either or. I think if the helmets have enough difference, we could lobby for a new CRL. Edit: Clarifying...between Commander and default prob tabs. Between Legacy and the updates...probably new CRL.
  17. Excellent! I will respond to each point here. Regarding the naming...if anyone ever built the new skin, then we would need to explore either adding "Legacy" to this variant OR adding a tab to the current CRL as a "Version 2" so the name is shared. The other option is to use "Jumptrooper" as that is what the new skin was named in Rebels (no hose version). Either way, we don't need to address that until the other version is built. 1) Ab buttons...will need to add these to references. The primary up close shot we had of the ab did indeed appear to be all black. This will need to be a Level 1 adjustment. 2) I don't remember the E-11 in gameplay. Likewise the SE-44C. Interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong...the weapon options for this class are static right? Unlike the standard classes where you can cross-use weapons from different eras. The SE in particular is a FO weapon...that's where I hesitate a bit and ask about the weapon options for the class. 3) We would need to define "metallic" more. You can have black mettalic...dark gray...silver...chrome. That has to be nailed down more. Lighting is a two-edged sword...the gloss of black can give a white "bright" reflection...so while it might not appear black in some screens, it does in others. I have a feeling we may be stuck with no fully correct answer on this and come to an consensus on interpretation. 4) See point 3 on lighting. 5) See point 3 on lighting. 6) Connected to point 3 on lighting...but the weathering is definitive. For this, I think we can safely leave black as an option. Whether some version of metallic is added is a separate discussion. 7) See point 6. You didn't mention the mohawk here...but I think that's worth noting so I will add a numero 8: 8. Mohawk. Would need to figure out wording, but the question is would we make that a Level 1 or Level 2 adjustment (continuous slope from forehead to mohawk)? If you notice anything else, please drop em in here.
  18. I was literally thinking about you/this last night before I fell asleep. Glad you received my telepathic communications! I've split the proposal post off of this thread so as not to derail your WIP. It is now located here for discussion: https://forum.specops501st.com/topic/7566-blackfoxs-crlupdate-proposal/
  19. Uff...you got me there. He is the DL...that's all I know.
  20. Ok...hit up Andrew...head over to FISD and show the same to kick it off and then they should be able to guide you from there. Thanks for checking here, but I think that's where it would land regardless and better to just start off in there I think.
  21. Hey @TheLoneRanger! There are no build threads here for sure. These days with the influx of SW characters, typically LMOs have been putting off any placement of characters in a det until they are certain someone will be doing the build. If you are for sure going to do this, I can give the LMOs a heads up. As far as the description...my personal hunch is that even though the words say one thing, the white armor and the TK build will probably land this in FISD. Have you approached them at all? If so, then I can speak w/ Andrew the DL over there and we can get the ball rolling if this is a build you will certainly start and need to know where to start a build/CRL thread. Let me know. Thanks!!!
  22. Im saying I would add the word Optional in front of that yellow bit. So it is even optional for Level 2 approval. See Shadow Scout CRL thermal detonator as an example of what I mean.
  23. Yea after thinking on it more I think u should add it as an optional Level 2 item...im all for preserving costume info we know in the crl tho this one prob isnt 100% necessary for requirement for shorter troopers. Sound good?
