  1. For the shins, if that detail would be “lost” for short troopers (I picture the female DT I met from Puerto Rico Garrison as an example) due to trimming...maybe not include. L2 should still be inclusive for different sized people. Could list it as an optional L2 item so the detail is still included on the CRL
  2. By the update proposal (posted here for a few months now)...no. Only officers have the jacks...no panel presented showed an army trooper with higher boots that those participating in the discussion could see.
  3. Knees should be fine. May want to strap those before painting (as you will need to rivet the upper straps in and the rivets will need to be black).
  4. We have handled L2 and L3 equally here (hence no L3 in Spec Ops CRLs)...and so details and measures at L2 aren't out of the question. Our Mudtrooper CRL has some measures on belt drop boxes...can add with "approximate" if the measures are not known...it wouldn't be abnormal for us persay. If they are an unknown, can leave them off.
  5. Good. No L2 here (which is fine if not)? Could add for L2 that the piece does NOT connect to the butt plate at all. Make that a mandatory for L2.
  6. I don't have pics to post up...but when we do CRL model pics, we should probably ask for a shot of that oval recessed detail as an example.
  7. Best wishes on your approval! Keep us updated! @Blackwatch how are we looking here as far as having a potential Specialist applicant?
  8. Reviewed...L1/L2 split looks good here. Identified some gallery shots when the time comes.
  9. Spats look set. To verify for CRL purposes just so I can picture it...the greeblie...we will add a closeup of that pic or some other reference of it in the CRL gallery?
  10. I think we are generally safe in line counts going to L2...even for everything. Most people will be buying kits based off of film references. I'd also wager that the majority build off the CRL pics as their primary reference, not the actual references threads (including the toy references) aside from an applicant here or there...or the first batch of troopers who don't have a CRL to reference from. All that to say that I believe most people won't base their build off the Hot Toy references...but even if they did, I'm not certain that affects the general look of a Level 1 Sith Trooper...no one would notice the line counts. For a GML...an approx. should work so there are no major deviations.
  11. Just to verify the adjustment to recessed lines...Level 2 specifies an amount while Level 1 leaves that more open?
  12. As long as the general consensus is it wont affect the overall “look” of the costume sure.
  13. Hi Eddie. We do not have an official “preapproval thread” here. GMLs have final say on your approval and so we wont overstep that. That said, if you would just like feedback on your build and things to make note of, just create your own thread and we can look at it. I only see one side shot here though unless my page isnt loading properly
  14. yea...canvas pillow (same material as the flightsuit). why is he carrying a pillow though? lol. i don't get it.
  15. hmmm...on the up close it does look like a "pillow" but on that shot where you see most of his body from the side, there does appear to be a fold-over flap.
  16. True...but even still that doesnt necessarily mean it should be the way to go. For a basic approval how would a GML verify that? If its visible on standard approval pics keep it L1 for sure, but if not and the armor would need to be removed with additional pics to verify...well thats L2 material all day Id say and sounds like what we would require for a Specialist app. For me with that switch, these should be all set. Lookin good.
  17. Thx!!! Double check with vendor that the bolts are concave. I bought a pack similar to that and they werent. thonwith some dremel work u might be able to make the concave. Our recent Swamp Trooper crl model did something like that
  18. @tgreen0626 are you referring to the warping in the indentation? If so, I don't think that will be an issue because you will be cutting a slit in there and inserting a strap which will/should cover that area entirely. Can you provide the vendor info for the 22mm bolts?
