  1. The back pad looks good indeed. The V cutout is acceptable? That would be my only question.
  2. 1) Updated blasters. Look it over @areilly and make sure I have the right info in there on those. 2) @Blackwatch updated grenades and bandolier. Give that a look over. 3) I adjusted patch for Level 1 and 2 on the tunic. 4) No addition of the fish hook detail on biceps. If all of the above looks good, everyone please do one final look over. Check grammar, check punctuation, check measures, check colors, check it all and make sure we are set and haven't overlooked anything. FINALLY, let's arrange the items in a nice order and we will be set to hand this over to @Scubacat and the LMOs.
  3. @TX-15293 They have that black square pad looks like. Only go to the wrist?
  4. Heading to Legoland, so can only brief (sorry)... 1) Blasters. Check. I or @Blackwatch will sort that on the original post ASAP along w/ the grenades and bandolier. 2) Fishhook...let's keep it out of Level 1. Would we like to add it as a Level 2 detail? I feel we should but I'm open-minded. That said, if we do keep it even at L2, we may need a clear pic of that detail for the CRL model (or at the very least a Level 2 help guide here on the forums). 3) Patch Insignia. @JAFO the patch on standard MTs is unseen because they are always wearing shoulder bells that cover it correct? The "hero" characters are not our baseline for this particular CRL, so I'm with you on that totally. My initial assumption though would be that if a couple MTs (Han, Val) have it, the rest in the Imperial Army would as well as a standard uniform piece. So in that regard, I understand what @Aircool is saying. Now...if we have evidence in our references that standard MTs absolutely did NOT have the patch, then I would be on board w/ removing it entirely. My last questions on this (if we end up keeping it)...patch is PVC correct? Make the material of the patch L2 and leave L1 material open-ended? Agreed we may be nitpicking these final few minor details but that's what happens at the end I suppose.
  5. 10-4 regarding patch insignia. @Blackwatch work your magic buddy!
  6. Tab. I would concur...no English text. Strictly Aurebesh as that's what we can see. Does it actually say Sapper? Not to open a can of worms...but that patch shape doesn't seem to match the shield currently being used for IATs. It's more "arrowhead" in appearance to me.
  7. 1) Fish hook detail on bicep. I don't see it. Any closeups of refs available? 2) Bandolier clarification. 3) Blaster options. E-11 or E-11B? E-10 and E-22 correct?
  8. @Blackwatch Are you able to edit my original thread post? I believe you are. Just checking...I want to verify that I'm understanding @izzi correctly. Biceps (not the optional medic bicep), adjust Level 2 requirements to specify the colors we have listed OR something comparable (we are currently missing the "or" statement). Correct?
  9. Fixed belt box count. Added oiler pouch.
  10. I also totally forgot to add the line about black foam to the black plate. Doing that now.
  11. Understood. I looked through our current ref pics and can't see the pockets. I think specifying them as not being visible is reasonable.
  12. Im confused. What do you mean by this? @Blackwatch read it through. Seems good. This is what I'm thinking on all of that pack combo stuff. It's super complex lol. I think we are right on the combos and descriptions. That said, I think we may need to do separate non-CRL photo models of each type of combo (esp for the L2) as a resource for troopers here on our forums to see (similar to what MEPD does w/ their sandy arrangements). That would be more on our end (assuming the LMOs are ok w/ our presentation of the pack arrangements).
  13. Original CRL post updated at top of thread. Please review items in detail (including punctuation/grammar/etc.). There is alot of text (which makes for alot of room for error), so please double check EVERY SINGLE measurement and color reference in particular...that they are the correct number and wording...and are consistent throughout the CRL where applicable. Scarf added. Shins updated (review). To address some previous questions from much earlier in the discussion that we never really discussed: 1) Gloves. We will keep them as a requirement. 2) Biceps. Fish hook detail. Need to review. 3) Tunic. Material specified is L2. Additionally, patch has no material specified. As it is L2, I feel we can specify the material (PVC). Will update if no issues. 4) Boots. Marking them as not vinyl or PVC is currently listed as an L2 requirement. 5) Optional items. We need to finalize optional pieces and arrangements. Appears there was some discussion as to additional pieces beyond the 3 currently listed. In particular, there was made mention of a bandolier, grenades, and blasters. Need to complete. Final stretch folks. Then we will arrange the order and submit. Thanks!
  14. Absolutely. That was always the plan. It seems we are agreed then on the buckle. I (when Im at a pc) or Blackwatch will make those adjustments. I would like some feedback on shin continuity w the Shoretrooper. Yay or nay (see above)? Verifying there are no qualms to label the hoses as “black” in color? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Noted. Thank you. Are there any objections to this? If not, we can draft it as our original proposal that we send to the LMOs. They may accept it...they may not (at which point we would revert back to the serrated I assume).
  16. Armor color seems set. Scarf. Personally, I say include it if that's the majority of looks. Collar. "High mandarin collar" does seem best after looking up the terms. Reinforced pants look good to include. Clear to specify the color of the hoses as "black?" That only really leaves the following in my mind: Serrated buckle. @areilly @amcclary Just to clarify for me, is the main concern that these accurate buckles are currently difficult to find and/or will be potentially more difficult to find in the future? If so (or if they are coming from one supplier), I think we should consider it as Level 2 as well though I, to my core, prefer the accurate buckles. Shins. I cross-checked the Shoretrooper CRL for wording (yes, I know they are not exactly the same as the Mud)...here is the SHORETROOPER text: Shins Cover Strips are raised as beveled with a added layer strip on top. Greaves close in the back. The trapezoid shin plate (sniper knee plate) is affixed to the left greave. The “T” shin plate is affixed to the right greave. A harness style buckle greeblie attached to the outside edge of the upper shin plate. A ski boot style buckle greeblie is attached to the outside edge of the lower shin plate. Straps extend from each buckle, and the inner side of the shin plate. The straps may have a gap in the back of the shin or extend around the shin in one piece. Shins are tan with moderate weathering. The yellow text is what we can look at (the non-yellow doesn't apply) in comparison to what we have written. Possible that some continuity would be beneficial? Here I do not see the shin bend listed in the Shore CRL either...looking at our references to the Shore CRL model, I'm trying to determine if that's unique to the Mud. Thoughts?
  17. Gathering my thoughts...looks like we need to come to a consensus on the following: Armor color (I'm good w/ how we have it currently written) Serrated buckle as basic approval item Shin bend Tunic collar language Scarf addition Pants/pockets An additional item I wanted to bring up that was in the original proposal but got lost in editing is the color wording of the hoses...initially written up as black. Thank you for all of the input so far and @Blackwatch for doing the initial edit. The yellow text on the chest plate I believe is just a delete, but let's look back at the sections we wrote in the previous thread to make sure. Once we can discuss and decide on all those items above, I believe we just need to reorganize the pieces to have a better "order" to them.
  18. Whew...that pack section is a doozy. I want to read through it a few more times w/ fresh eyes to make sure it makes sense. I would suggest we all do that.
  19. Yea looks good. I was going to mention the comm mic...but that's in the optional, so we're good so far as I can see.
  20. Proposal thread unlocked for final review. @Scubacat @izzi @Blackwatch and all members input welcome.
  21. Good catch. Thank you! You guys have all been tremendous in helping out w/ feedback and discussion. I would like to say thanks. I have unlocked the proposal thread here for final review and cleanup: https://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/6015-new-crl-proposal-mudtrooper/ We need to go every detail with fine tooth comb and make sure the CRL is clear and accurate. You guys already know that, but just a reminder because at this stage it may become easy to get ancy and start to rush through it. Thanks again!!!
  22. Text moved. I believe we have covered everything...hoses were consolidated into the respirator section rather than having their own. Unless anyone has anything further to add, I will unlock the proposal thread for final review.
  23. Correct...which by the way I believe we are done. I just need to move the stuff over (now).
  24. @JAFO Anything that is specific to Han only will need to be removed. So I will take out "red square." Yes, the torch would be an optional. How are we looking here? Helmet An open-faced, flared helmet which consists of a dome with rim and helmet skirt. A telemetry unit is attached to the right side of the dome and is aligned just above the rim. The lower end of the telemetry unit sits out from the helmet to allow the goggle elastic to feed underneath. The telemetry unit consists of a rectangle box with detailing that should match the reference image. The telemetry unit is in the same color as the helmet. The telemetry unit may feature a tied length of elastic bungee cord, approx. 4-5mm in diameter, looped around the outer upper section. A rubber trim covers the edge of the helmet rim with the join made at the rear center of the helmet. Metal/silver Imperial code disks are positioned on both sides of the helmet skirt. These may be weathered. Disks DO NOT feature grooves or a notch. The helmet has a polystyrene inner liner consistent with that of a skate or bike helmet. The helmet is to be painted in olive green to match the armor. The helmet paint finish may be textured, and is moderately weathered. When worn without the respirator, a black chin cup with tan webbing strap must be visible. Tan webbing should be lightly weathered. Optional: TORCH TBA Goggles Goggles shall have an aged chrome frame with detail painting, and weathering to match reference. The knurled nose bridge adjuster is brass in appearance. Goggles shall have a trim around metallic frame. Trim shall be rubber or foam. Goggles have dark angled lenses featuring two flat panels per lens. Goggle Strap features two sizes of elastic - 38mm and 50mm. The goggle strap features a number of buckles: • Serrated slide buckles on each side of the goggles through which the 38mm elastic is threaded. • A large buckle greeblie on the lefthand side through which the 50mm elastic is threaded. This greeblie features a beige square. • Two black plastic tri-glides on the right rear through which the 50mm elastic is threaded. Respirator The respirator is large enough to cover the wearers’ lower face, and is wide enough to extend to either side of helmet. The respirator has a ‘mouth’ which features a curved bottom, short curved vertical sides and arched top. The mouth is painted matte black. The mouth features seven vertical cut-outs in the top center. The three center lines shall be equal length and run from the top of the mouth to the middle. The next two lines on either side step down in size incrementally. Metallic mesh similar to reference photo is visible through the cut-outs. Two rubber breathing hoses, approx. 30mm outer dimension, connect either side of the vertical cut-outs. The hose extends over each shoulder and connects to the hose connectors located at the top of the back plate. The respirator features two rounded tusks that extend either side of the mouth. The end of each tusk features a filter. The filter consists of a raised center ring and three branches connecting the ring to the outside of the filter. In the center of each filter is a Hex socket cap screw. Filters are aged chrome in color, with outside edges slanted inward. Metallic mesh similar to reference photo is visible through between the branches of the filter. The respirator shall be painted olive green and moderately weathered. Above each tusk is a gun metal colored buckle through which 3/4in (19mm) tan webbing straps are fed. Each strap connects to a metal snap hook. These hooks are used to connect the respirator to the neck strap. The neck strap consists of a length of 3/4in (19mm) tan webbing with metal D-Rings sewn in to place. Tan webbing should be lightly weathered. The respirator can be worn to cover the face, or suspended around the neck of the wearer.
