  1. Dang, that might be pretty sweet without painting Almost like the Boba Fett in the cartoon!
  2. Do you have a render pic of the left side of the helmet? I'm not seeing that center line that is on that ear cap from the rear-quarter view.
  3. This is very unique! I like the backstory on it! Having played the tabletop miniature games Star Wars Armada and Star Wars X-Wing it is cool to see the Jumpmaster 5000 name get used!
  4. As everyone is aware, CRLs are living and breathing documents and are subject to change based on new information discovered. However, I want to err caution going forward on edits to entirely separate CRLs without running them in a separate thread for update. I may be wrong on a few points, but it is my understanding that the helmets from the IAT: Andor costume were repurposed for use on the Imperial Security Trooper as we are working on here. Wouldn't the details be very similar or if not the same, absent obvious color changes? I'm not saying stuff needs to be identical, but just cautioning massive changes to things unless there is very specific evidence that suggests otherwise.
  5. Right on! Can't wait to see that approval post!
  6. Yeah, I think unless we get anything more concrete it is going to be hard to present to the LMOs on inclusion as a costume.
  7. The humidity is really high where I live during this time of the year, so painting is usually not viable most of the days outside. I don't have a paint booth setup in my basement due to the fumes and such, but I did get drop cloths just in case. The last time I spray painted down there I got it everywhere because I'm an idiot and that stuff floated for like a day
  8. At first glance it looks like most of it is good. The only thing we'd have to see while printing is the tears under the eyes that appear on the CRL image but not on this print and the vertical bar on the back of the helmet doesn't have the ridges. The ridges would be easy enough to add though.
  9. I can't remember if WTF kits are acrylic capped ABS to give it the gloss, but I know that some kits out there are. Either way, in order to promote adhesion of the primer you'll at least want to clean it up with soap/water or mineral spirits (make sure stuff DOES NOT have acetone in it) and then scuff it with some real high grit sand paper either dry or wet. After the primer is set then you can do the actual color spray on it to give it the satin or matte finish. Personally, I converted an all white Anovos stormtrooper over to an Incinerator Trooper with the red stripes and I did not prime underneath it and so far the paint is sticking. I did, however, clean it up very well to ensure that it stuck. The kit was also very worn so the surface was already a bit rough through natural wear.
  10. I ran through this and it appears to be all good from what I can see. I adjusted the color of the main shoulder area to black as I agree with your assessment of it.
  11. Sorry, I didn't meant to miss this initial post! The helmet text being yellow just means that that is the current step were on for drafting the CRL. I do see that you are on your way with designing the helmet in the below post! I like it thus far!
  12. Thanks for typing that up, here are a few answers or things to ponder! : Material type - I had derived the cotton or cotton blend from the BHG Super Commando Captain (https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:MW_Supercommando-Captain) since that was another animated series (Clone Wars vs Rebels); but if we think it could be described better I'm all for that! Flight suit color - I'm good with wording it a bit darker than the white armor, like a gray color? I can definitely tell it is darker, I may have copied that over from the grunt one, but I can't remember since it was like 2020 when I had wrote it. The rest of it looks good to me!
  13. @HidingInCosplay no worries! I understand that life can be busy! I can't wait to see the WIP thread and making some movement again on getting that CRL text drafted and images captured for the CRL
  14. With regards to the T-21 trooper, is that how it is on the card for it? I have them at home but can't remember. If you have some of them that are put together as per the instructions in the box and unpainted then perhaps a high-resolution set of photos could help, at least to see how the parts are. I'd imagine you have them painted as per the FFG/AMG art? If so then those would probably work as well, as that would show the intended colors that FFG/AMG were looking at when it was presented for licensing.
  15. Hello, @Roarcach! Does the file have images that includes the sides and back?
  16. I have reviewed the text and added the two options from my previous post into the main part of the finalized text. Is there anything else that we need to add or verify before we start gathering information for a NTTL request?
  17. Scott, that is an internal limit that is needed to maintain server space for the detachment and is not an error. You'll need to utilize a 3rd party image service such as (Imgur, Flickr, etc.) to host images and link them back to the thread(s).
  18. Glad to hear you're doing well! I know the joys of home ownership and moving, all too well. Keep your head up! Can't wait to see this awesome armor again
