What @Chaos said to tack them down is good for that. There was a rear reference image that we have that showed a wider strap on the back into a smaller strap where the boxes attach, which is why the L2 detail is smaller for that strap.

Nice job! Yeah I figured the boots could be the weird part!

First Order Jet Trooper CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to IcyTrooper's topic in First Order Jet Trooper
What @Chaos said is correct! Once we get a model who has the parts put together/putting together with pics we press forward on getting the costume added to the official CRL. -
Hello, James! There isn't a certain width for it, just make sure proportions are good

Initial text draft: Jump Pack Solid black in color and styled after the comic reference. A loose interpretation is allowed, but reference accuracy is encouraged. There are four levels/sections to the backpack described below: Top level: A four-sided rectangular detail in the upper one-third of the second level near the wearer's helmet. The sides of the rectangle are longer on the outer edges. Second level: A six-sided coffin shaped detail in the upper two-thirds of the third level. The sides of this shape are longer on the outer edges. Third level: A ten-sided uniquely shaped detail, with two sides that that jut out just above the thruster sections. On each of those two sides there are two rectangular cut-outs that match the reference photos. These cut-outs must be backed with material that is either painted or utilizing LEDs to give a bluish soft glow. Fourth level: There are two obtuse triangular-shaped sections on each side of the jump pack. From these triangular shapes there are two slanted sections where the thrusters are mounted. There are two circular thrusters mounted on each of the slanted sections on each side. The circular thrusters have straight or slightly curved pipes with a ringed section, approximately 1/4 inch (6.35mm), near the top. The inner section of the thrusters must be backed with material that is either painted or utilizes LEDs to give a bluish soft glow. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Third Level: On each of those two sides there are two rectangular cut-outs that match the reference photos. These cut-outs must be backed with material and utilizes LEDs to give a bluish soft glow. Fourth Level: The inner section of the thrusters must be backed with material and utilizes LEDs to give a bluish soft glow.

Veryyyyy good. If we think they are incorporated as one single piece in the reference images we could make that a L2 detail. Some small edits for it: Bicep Armor Gloss black in color unless noted below. May be painted in accordance with the Color Scheme Guide. If used, all armor pieces must be painted using the Color Scheme Guide. Biceps may be slightly weathered but must be uniform with the rest of the costume. One on each shoulder and are not interchangeable. Each bicep is a mirror image of the other. Is overlapped by the shoulder bell and may be incorporated with the shoulder bell as one single piece. The bicep has an overall square appearance with the rear panel flaring out slightly the last 1/3rd to 1/4th of the length at the top. There are two raised panel details on the inside and outside of the bicep. Both have a horizontal rectangle cut out positioned in the upper 1/3rd length of the panel and a square cut out positioned in the bottom half. The upper rear corner of each panel is angled to mimic the bicep rear panel flare. (See CRL Photo for reference). The forward lower corner of each panel is angled rearward. (See CRL Photo for reference). Panels are painted metallic black, matte black, or dark gray. The outer raised panel is raised out more than the inside panel. There is a raised panel on the front side of the bicep which is flared thicker at the top half. There is a vertical rectangular cutout in the center of the panel. There is a vertical rectangular insert with a beveled lower end in the center of the cutout. The top of the insert extends underneath the shoulder bell. There is a recessed grove approximately 1/2 inch (12.7mm) wide around the lower edges of the bicep. This recess is offset slightly upward from the lower edges.

I'm good with what it looks like, @RAIDER what you say? I realized that we also have to drill down the text for it as well. I can get something drafted up.

That looks incredible!!

Pyroâs Security Trooper WIP

Congrats on the approval!! -
Thanks for the explanation, @Chaos! At the end we may want to make sure our text doesn't overlap/duplicate between that other text we had, but that can be done at the end. Your text is good for the Shoulder Bell Armor with some small changes: Shoulder Bell/Bicep Armor Gloss black in color unless noted below. May be painted in accordance with the Color Scheme Guide. If used, all armor pieces must be painted using the Color Scheme Guide. Proportional to the rest of the costume. The shoulder bells may be slightly weathered but must be uniform with the rest of the costume. One on each shoulder and are not interchangeable. Each shoulder bell is a mirror image of the other. Overlaps the bicep armor or may be incorporated with the bicep as one single piece. There is a notch for the bicep armor greeblie in the front lower edge. There is a raised beveled circular detail on the outside of the shoulder bell. (See CRL Photo for reference) Inside the detail is a raised circle ring which has a flat disc painted metallic black or silver. There is a raised cylinder in the middle of the disc painted metallic black or silver. There is a vertical recess approximately 0.75" (19.05mm) wide along the inside edges of the front and rear faces. This band is offset slightly inward from the inside edge.

My Battlefront Shadow Stormtrooper WIP
IcyTrooper replied to erickmain's topic in Shadow Stormtrooper
Welcome, Erick! Looks like a good start! It may need a black paint coating to get it to the gloss finish, but the belt boxes look good since they have that longer length. -
Hello, Luke! Glad to see you onboard here. Give it a shot and we'll help you along the way!

Congrats!

On the first page I have converted all text over to the proper coloration for where we are at. There were some changes for the UK to US English, as the LMOs will notify us of that. I think the base of the text is good for all of the items. Some of them could use some two/three-tier text, but I'll check that out so that it is reorganized to flow. The meat and potatoes of the text is good though. I'm not seeing anything that could be considered ambiguous.

Jef, I'd say that looks pretty good to me! I'm going to pin this thread and I'm grateful for your contribution to the Spec Ops community!

Blue Bantha's 3D Printed MCM Death Trooper
IcyTrooper replied to bluebantha's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
Glad you are back again! It was a damn shame that your shadow stormtrooper was never approved. I personally didn't find anything wrong with it, but alas I'm just a DL (the GML in me was pissed about that). -
Purge Trooper Phase 1: Commander - CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to nanotek's topic in Purge Trooper Phase I: Commander
It was started when we first got the CRLs from the Clone Trooper Detachment, so we'd have to start a new thread and archive this one to bring the Electrostaff Specialist one over. That is something we can move this week. I'll have to get resources in on it since we have a few other CRLs that are being worked on at this time. The holidays are probably going to slow it down a little as well. -
Purge Trooper Phase 1: Commander - CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to nanotek's topic in Purge Trooper Phase I: Commander
It's all good, this is a unique situation. The CRL in its current form is currently approvable with hard parts/soft parts as they exist in the current CRL. That is what your GML will reference with the current pictures and text. It would be the discretion of your GML if they were to use the current CRL and allow any slight modifications that would cater to the Electrostaff Specialist to get it more in line with the video game images; otherwise, you'd need to build it to the current CRL and not the proposed one. I don't have a timeline for updating this CRL since we'd need a model to update it. I'm not a fan of updating the text but not the model images, therefore we'd need to do both the text and pictures at the same time. We are happy to accept anyone as a model, but there is a lot of work that goes into that with pictures being taken and making sure the armor matches the text and reference images (e.g., could require further modifications, etc.). -
Purge Trooper Phase 1: Commander - CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to nanotek's topic in Purge Trooper Phase I: Commander
The Electrostaff and Commander in game models has the same armor minus the obvious differences, so that'd be a good path. Just keep in mind that the GMLs are going to be referencing the current CRL, although that shouldn't probably be a big deal when it comes to this one. If you're interested in being the model for it, that could also work and would be the basis for updating the CRL images and text so they flow together. -
Purge Trooper Phase 1: Commander - CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to nanotek's topic in Purge Trooper Phase I: Commander
Right now the current CRL is staying as is until we have a model to update it with new pictures. It will more closely align to the Purge Trooper Phase I: Electrostaff Specialist as that in-game model is the same. When we have a model for it we will revisit the text. -
I reviewed the Lower Back Armor, nice! Lower Back Armor Gloss black in color unless noted below. May be painted in accordance with the Color Scheme Guide. If used, all armor pieces must be painted using the Color Scheme Guide. Fitted centered and under the back plate and extends to below the top of the belt. This is to hide the body of the wearer as much as possible. Lower back armor may be slightly weathered but must be uniform with the rest of the costume. The Lower Back Armor and Abdomen Armor side extensions, if any, may meet flush at the sides. Has a general âTâ shape design with the top being flat across. Each top corner section is extended outward with the bottom edge angling and widening downward to the center section. There are two proportional horizontal recesses that may be present. The center section has a recessed area which has two raised circular ring type hose connectors positioned offset with the larger one located in the upper right corner and the smaller one located in the lower left corner. Connectors may be painted metallic black or silver. Two pistons may be present. If present, the ends must have the appearance of being attached to the lower back and extended to be hidden by the belt. Pistons shafts must be painted metallic black or silver.
