  2. ALICE on BDUs sits much higher, above our hips, i wore the gear during the 80s too so yeah I totally get you. The pockets were configured that way on the BDUs to accomodate the belt. Mine rides really low now covering where the coverall split is
  3. I uuseually only get just a very few minutes a day to work on this. I never noticed the duplications. Those are removed in this proposal. I have employees, they literally do 1/10th the work levels I do because when they are on shift they never get callouts. When Im on shift the phone never stops rining. 6. Hey Gage thanks for the uupdats I would lengthen out the harness and hook it lower to the belt itself so the hooks dont show, we want you go apply for Specialist when you are approved and the hooks should not be visible. Id let the belt drop another two inches, its riding REALLY high on you. hit everything with Montana Gold olive green so it all matches. yeah new gloves are stiff. I mow laws and drive with new gloves. I used oil ONCE on a pair of gloves. They became rock hard. Ill never oil a glove again. I break them in with sweat and work!
  7. agreed! were ready to get thsi big show on the road. The E11 would be a option of the soft costume only without armor since we break out everything into tabbed galleries, we can just add it to only "that" tabbed gallery. Looking forward to all of it and seeing this complete and out to the Legion for use.
  8. no further updates? Ok, then heres what Im going to propose we write. Thisisnt much, but is copied from the FISD CRL. For edification, here is the FSD R1 blaster reference page: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ R1 E-11 proposal V1.0 E-11 Blaster Note, the E-11 holster as seen in the Original Trilogy movies is not an authorized accessory for rogue One armor". 9. Jeez, its been THAT LONG since I got in here! These 20 hour work days are killing me, literally. OK, so, whats next? we were talking about the blaster......
  10. The art does not depict these thicker belts, I have one, and when I was developing the CRL for this (I am the First in Legion and CRL model for this) I decided against it. However, there is no weight on the belt other than the pouches, and my problem has always been that the harness slides all over with no actual weight to hold it in place. You may try padding like a ladies shoulder pad, its like a soft bra pad, inside where your affected shoulder is
  11. Hello Cyprian Lets get your Trooper into the Specialist prorgram. Overall you look good on quick pass, but we will need detailed shots of each component as well as measuremnts of your goggle straps, your TU on your helmet and a lot more detailed photos here is the link to the program The "Specialist" Program - 501st SpecOps (specops501st.com)
  12. just to make sure im on the same track, would that be the guy in the hotel that Cassian takes down? Or did you spot another one? Edit-- I got these pics from Shayan
  13. Ok, lets talk blaster E 10.5. and or R1 E11. Not much too it, very little screen time. has a picatinny rail on the right for the flashlight which is not mounted. I dont want to get the discussion moved over to the other topic, but there is a seperate topic on the weapon itself with some good discussin. That said, the CRL discussion needs to happen here:
  14. I agree, we really do need a model that meets L2 spec. While the backpack IS optional we dont necessarily need it for the gallery until one is built. Since the baton is so prevalent we will need that and it looks like @BigJasoni is handling that for us. Updating Shin text on the first page. Im ready to see this get pubished!
  15. Ok so looking back we never actually finished shins because we were wrapped up in boots. Look at my proposal V1.1 above, and when I condense it to V1.2 here, this is what we would get: Shins The shin plates (greaves) attach directly to the front of the wearers' shin using two flexible rubber straps that thread through the back of the greaves. Each strap affixes on the outer edge of the boot via a cam style buckle. The rubber straps are ribbed and equal in size. Straps extend from each buckle and the inner side of the greaves. A "T" shaped knee plate is affixed to both greaves that may appear to angle slightly away from the knee. The "T" shaped plate features a slightly curved rectangle feature that follows the upper edge. The rectangle is raised. Two triangular prism-shaped ‘knuckles’ are evident beneath the "T" shaped knee plate. The top and bottom facets are longer than the side facets. The greaves feature vertical indents and recessed rectangles that should match the reference image. The bottom of the greaves angle outward to follow the curvature of the boot/foot. Shins are painted to match the armor and should be weathered to match the boots. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The shin buckle shape is different than the shoulder buckles. The rear lever bar is shorter with a more distinct curve. Rubber straps are approx. 1.5” (40mm) wide. The shin armor is moderately weathered with grey paint simlar to Pantone 433u.
  16. ok so I dont see any more posts, im locking down the text and updating the first page.
  17. are you talking about the pyramid part on the top of the T ?
  18. i think they all carried the baton, but I do see a couple of dudes inside the HQ area withjust the clips which means the baton is out so they can sit down. Some of this stuff has to be found. We know what parts of it are. Some are clearly made for the prop. Anyone who is a pack specialist like Crookknight may be able to sort this The box itself is just a box, maybe a toaster oven? Anyway lets circle back to finishing up the belt and boxes Softie /Squishie guys belt & Boxes proposal V.2 Belt Belt is construction from a non-textured leather or leather-like material. Approximately 2" (50.8 mm) in width, up to 3" (76.2 mm) is acceptable. There are no loops on the belt. A single large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25.4 mm) to the wearers left from the buckle. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal looking material. The buckle size is approximately 2 5⁄8" (66.7 mm) high and 4 1⁄8" (104.5 mm) wide with 0.5" (12.7 mm) radius rounded corners. Buckle is adorned with a Rogue One type Code Disk without grooves at the center. The belt is worn above the top of the lower pocket flap top edge. The belt features two boxes, one on either side of the buckle. The boxes are Rogue One style boxes, the dimensions are approximately 3" (76.2mm) tall x 2" (50.8mm) wide, x 1" (25.4mm) thick. The belt may feature up to four more additonal boxes, for a total of six boxes, placed equideistant around the belt in screen accurate positions. Boxes shall be painted to match the armor matte black with no weathering. gunmetal or olive grey. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Belt is made of leather. Belt has a groove at top and bottom edge of the belt along its length. Any further discussion on this? can I wrap and lock it?
  19. You know, gunmetal crossed my mind but I convinced myself it was an optical delusion. Gunmetal is already in the CRL list for Ahldani troopers, it would make sense to re-use them. To begin work on the pack, we really need side views. Udated proposoal. Im adding the missing line about the grooved belt which is visible , for L2. 20. There are a couple of ways to do it: 1: real mud. I mow my yard and go tromping through the ditches at my house, getting real mud on them. 2: craft paint. More durable than real mud that flakes off. I use a couple of different tan/browns, and a light grey, and mix one of thet wo colors for a new shade. That gets worked deep into the crevices and where mud naturally accumulates. I know how I always looked in the Army, when I was out in the mud and slop, so thats where I dirty myself up. also, my goggles were always filthy from handling them, thas why I have mud on them. Its actually more like a clay from my backyard, our clay in South Louisiana is typically grey or sometimes yellowish. In my boot pics here, taken before my L2 approval, I used craft paint to work the colors on permanently before going out to my ditch to get filthy. My web gear nd helmet also have craft paints sponged on. HTH and I look forward to your Specialist approval!
  21. See my post above as well ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Heres the current Belt and boxes posted on the first page: Belt Belt is construction from a non-textured leather or leather-like material. 22. I just took another look at the backpack. We get the back shot, which is mosty shadowed and we cant see muich in the way of detail. When someone inevitably asks "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE RADIO BACKPACK?????!!!!?????" I will invite them to write the CRL proposal and use the picture posted to the refernce page post. Two people use it in one scene- that doesnt make it a major prop or part of the continuing storyline. At this point and with no further discussion on the Baton and its holster, I will wrap the proposed text from my post above and update the CRL proposal on the very first page of this topic. Edit- With regard to the E11 thats carried by the trooper with no armor in the hotel, its a standard R1 E-11 with the piccatinni rail on the right front, sans flashlight. Otherwise its a straight R1 E11 and at the beginning of the scene with the GCO calls out the troopers to the street you can see two E11s stacked on a table or box in the back of the scene. I think we can just take the standard R1 E-11 text, delete the flashlight, and use that for the option.
