  1. Ive got a real war era Stahlhelm I was giften and it is this grey, (plus a TON of rust). This is a good find. Have you ordered any yet? Im a sucker for large batches of spray paint, I would love a proper color chip. Feldgrau (its other name) is a common model color for model miniatures but that would look different due to "scale effect.
  2. It would be fine for Level 1 approval, its what Im wearing because at that time, we did not have the commuter boot information. My commuter boots from Ebay should be here tomorrow and Im hoping they fit. I have monster size 13.5EEE feet. Consult your GML, but since it IS in the CRL for the Engineer, it would be approved as Level 1. Now, for Spec Ops Det levels, those have not been set up yet by the Det
  3. good to know thanks for the heads up Shane. I don't mind tight so much, I get a better feel that way.
  4. given that we have face character Veers to study and all other parts of the front side match (in art) , that's a reasonable position for the back armor. I found a great pic of Veers in the ATAT from the front and you can see the right earpiece.
  5. I know at least one person here who wants to get the M64. Once we have the material in hand we can figure out the fabric, whether it is some kind of wool blend or cotton blend, etc. And I agree as well that by going the custom route you are in the proper place to do it per the original. going back to what JAFO said at the top of the thread, and without both uniforms in front of me to look over other than posted pics, are the M64s similar in appearance to the FO tunic?
  6. List is updated. if anyone recieves their patch order please post here and I can amend the list.
  7. In regards to custom, I havent been able to wear "off the shelf" or "miltary issue' since not long after I left it myself. Unless there is a source for these items in "big" sizes, anything I wear will need to be made from scratch. This is the only sizes I have found on the jacket, which is why people my size will need to make it from scratch. Ive been doing that for ten years with this club, so I guess Im sort of used to it. https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/belgian-m88-field-jacket-surplus/59147 Once a off the shelf item is found it that the Det agrees on for the CRL, weshould have a good supply for those that can fit it. And one can be pulled apart to draft a pattern for any other sizes needed.
  8. Thats awesome man! congratulations ARMY TROOPER!
  9. we got word on chat that he is going to be going back into surgery again, that should have been last week. Im on back order myself going back to February, but have not heard anything other than whats been posted to Walts group chat. Im hopeful the orders get out to people quickly.
  10. I cleaned up and purged extra characters from the CRL proposal. I also had to take a very close look at the top three ref images to find the button and panel. its almost as if the top of the coveralls are an officers coat and was buttoned all the way up unlike the Naval version which has hidden fasteners. Observation: The Wampa Wear tan jumpsuit is a very light tan. I am the reason it exists so I have the first, but its very light tan . it has the leg pockets and hidden chest pockes but not the panel feature. It does come with the standard mandarin collar. Discussion: Given that I have made about 22 Imperial Flight Suits I think it would be just as easy to get a tan work coverall (boiler suit) as the base. You would need a second suit to make the leg pockets from. The collar can be stood up, folded under and stitched in place to form the standing collar, and a modesty panel can be cut from scrap fabric. Or you could get a piece of similar tan fabric, use some interfacing, and stitch that i place to hold the collar firmly. Questions: Do we have a good picture of the back of the armor and its circuit plate design? would the plate be the same as used on the ATAT? ' Would the black and silver headset be the same used by the Imperial Navy Bridge Crewman? for consideration: https://www.amazon.com/Walls-Cotton-Coverall-Size-REGULAR/dp/B00K3421I2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1530475154&sr=8-7&keywords=tan%2Bwork%2Bcoveralls%2Bcotton&th=1&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/Dickies-Mens-Basic-Cotton-Coverall/dp/B00MPD1KE0/ref=pd_sbs_193_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00MPD1KE0&pd_rd_r=46fc553d-7d69-11e8-890f-1dbcfc3af4d2&pd_rd_w=VGTJG&pd_rd_wg=1n7MR&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=5825442648805390339&pf_rd_r=6BRCQWETVP15HQG711CR&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&refRID=6BRCQWETVP15HQG711CR Adding this one. its a bigger chest for guys my size. I see these everyday becasue of all the plants we have here. The color is khaki, or as we see the in SW costume book. "light brown". https://www.feldfire.com/Lakeland-7-oz-100-FR-Cotton-Coveralls_p_7783.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi8fdBRCVARIsAEkDvnJfSiDNV3EsbaxM_6NE3WB9Io2msqZO6i2XavPjmJQfL005Gu2GcR4aAkq6EALw_wcB
  11. I have cleaned up excess characters that appeared when the server migrated. Please take a few minutes and review the proposal for spelling, gross errors, and if you are seeing any special characters either on your home monitor or phone, let us know. heres the link to page 1 http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/5797-new-crl-proposal-imperial-army-trooper-swe/
  12. just re checked the link *things change*. I will be getting these on the next paycheck. hey guys, how is the size? I normally wear a large glove. Are they good to go according to US sizes?
  13. after the server move it looks like your link is borked. its giving me a 404 error. I found size 13 boots and went for it! I should have them on Friday or Saturday of next week. Hope they fit!!
  14. gotcha Ok, thanks Shane, but it never hurts to keep in contact.
  15. I JUST posted a topic about this! I managed to order several for our local group but the need is definitely there and people are on hold at this time. I have my patches in front of me and they are 5.00" tall overall, and 2 7/8" wide overall. I think 3" would be realistic without noticing a difference in the overall shape of the patch. I personally really would like to keep the colors consistent so that people joining now with new patches would match Sebastions original run. I will go ahead and add your name to the post I made since you are "seeking patches" at this time.
  16. I see this topic coming up quite a bit, and its not just from people here on this forum, but outside as well. *NOTE* Absolutely no bashing of any kind will be allowed and any statements made contrary to patch sellers will be removed. This is for informational purposed ONLY. Please reply with your situation. I want to make two lists 1: Ordered from WTF and did not receive them. 1: Kedex 2 Rex -------PATCHES RECEIVED 3 Chargrilled 4 JenMcnitt 5 Gloturco 6 Evilshadow---Patches Recieved 7 RoyDH 8 TX-15293 9 Ronan 10 ScaryGuy 11 Fenris C 12 SpudTrooper 13 Firebatt--RECIEVED 8 NOV 14 Tomtrooper--Awaiting Fullfilment 2: Wants to order patches to create one of the Imperial Army uniforms. 1 arielly 2 PM07 3 RoyDH 4 Toda
  17. going back to the M64 M65 question, having owned several US M65s, they are nothing at all like the Belgian M64. To me that almost looks like a German WWI field coat without the back frocking, trim piping and ornate buttons. I still think it would be easier for us to determine an acceptable shape, and create a pattern.
  18. currently that is a problem for a lot of people. I knew this was going to be a hot issue so I rounded up cash and ordered immediately when they went on sale, but I know several others that have purchased and been left in a lurch. I do not know if these are still on the WTF patch sale page or not, but I know people are still trying to get their patches after ordering months ago. Sebastian originally had 200 patches made which is 100 suits. An odd number were left over meaning people bought one patch likely to collect. We do need a supply of these patches to move a lot of people forward. Maybe I got lucky and got mine soon after I ordered because I purchased a group of them for the Garrison.
  19. have you reached out to your GML in the last couple of days? He may be waiting on US to approve the CRL first. Ive seen that happen before. Also I am working with a maker in Star Garrrison to make green holsters for us. Im going to snag one of yur pics and send to him so he can see what we are doing. he will likely make the holster in the olive green we are calling for. Ive already painted my harness and belt to match with the Montana Gold olive Gren so I will likely do the same with all my gear so it all matches. Even if that paint wears on the corners...well...that's actually BETTER because of typical field wear!
  20. Were going to.need to pic one design and stick with it concerning the CRL and the accompanying CRL photo. I found an Etsy seller making goggles for this, now with these photos I can compare to the Etsy listing.
  21. If anybody needs anything or you have a question dont hesitate to reach out to me. I may not have the answer but I can generally find out and get back to you with it. I've built costumes in both Legions for over ten years and ran the Infantry Det for the Rebels, so dont hesitate if you have a question.
  22. Rex the problem that we are currently having with the patches is that Sebastian had 200 patches created which sold out within just a few days. One of my local guys went back and purchased the last three that showed in stock sometime in February or early March. He's kind of been getting the runaround from WTF about the patches and or a refund which he has requested. Another of my local guys created his own patches but he has not answered me how he created them. He may have embroidered them himself on a home embroidery machine or he may have done it in vinyl like some of the tie pilot patches are done.
  23. I can make pretty much everything we see on this trooper but the goggles have me. What is the original goggle and how was the seal formed?
  24. Just took a look at the Transcon suit, from CDC. I remember those from when I lived by Avenal State Prison, most of the guards there wore the jumpsuit. would you say the sizes are true to size or do I need to order up? Also did you trim some off the leg and use that for the mandarin collar and snap?
  25. i have just snt another Email out with the conversion template. Its really not that hard if you want to tackle this yourself
