  1. You could always remove it, clean it and re-attach, but honestly that gap isn't going to be noticed by anyone but you. It's hard to re-secure it after the excess is cut.
  2. Looks fine. You could take a tad more out of the teeth, but you don't need to.
  3. I think this is a stellar idea, but as you mentioned it would be quite heavy with an already heavy pack supporting the water weight as well. There are theories of pack attachment on the boards here, and I'm curious to see what your take is on them.
  4. Terrific work Mardon. I'll keep an eye out for updates.
  5. Pack is looking great Mardon. I wonder how much it will weight when finished? Also, what did you construct the tubs from?
  6. I bet Chef has some advice here regarding bund dimensions for your frame. PM him.
  7. Well-done Mark. See if you can get someone to make a sketch.
  8. I know some folks disliked the helmet when it leaked, but I think this thing looks menacing. Spec Ops!
  9. That's amazing of you Kevin. I don't have access to a printer currently, but hats-off to you sir for offering the files.
  10. I use the Aker/iComm system from Jim Sauter. It's great IMHO as it is loud and adds the random static bursts. It also has push-to-talk capability if that's your thing. I have Vortex systems in my Vader costumes, but for stormtrooper-type stuff I love the Aker/iComm.
  11. IMHO it is a new costume. If FISD has separate costumes for ROTJ TKs vs ANH, then this warrants it as well as the differences are significant.
  12. I'm proud of you! You started with an admirable scratch build and dealt with a number of obstacles. You didn't give up though, and you've made it. That's the Spec Ops spirit. Congratulations!
  13. Of course I have no idea what is going in with Mac, but I can tell you that our maltese had a back pinch that sounds like all of the same behavior: screaming, immobility, etc. Eventually his back calmed down and he was ok aside from a few fits here and there. He lived for years after that. Hang in there you two.
  14. I can't wait to see pics of your kit when it arrives. Like Luis said, the more you share, the more we can help, and we love the helping.
  15. Great progress Ty. I can't wait to see more.
  16. Hang in there Ren. He likely will snap out of it once the inflammation calms down. Thoughts with you guys.
  17. Ok, since you are having trouble with your GML I'm going to pick this apart more than usual. Things I see: - the pauldron is bent-up. Hopefully that can just be adjusted better so that it straightens-out. - the biceps should come down a tad. They look a little bit too high inside the shoulder bell, and you have big gaps between those and your forearms. -Your handplates look large. - The shoulder ammo pouch could stand to be brought-up an inch. Then it wouldn't look so large on you. I hope that helps. I really want you to be able to get past your GML.
  18. Looking good Ty. I was starting to worry about you. Stay safe and don't get stuck in the snow. Oh wait, you have a half-track.
  19. Thanks for getting this moving Chef. I think the CRL looks pretty good overall. I have a few points to hit: Dan, you mentioned earlier that this costume was featured on a variety of advertisements. Please produce those images. If you are basing your costume more on the artwork, you have to be sure that the artwork shows a good 360 degree full body, otherwise we are using the figure to supplement. Using the figure, then Chef has a point about the hook. It will need to be there IMHO. If you are able to go with the artwork, then the hovi tip needs to be black. The figure shows it silver, but the art looks black if I'm not mistaken. As far as getting this through to Brian before his term is up, that may not be possible. Brian has inadvertently made the process much harder. It's a long story, but while it is supposed to be DL-friendly, without warning I can't even access our CRLs anymore. I think this is likely going to have to wait until the new command staffs take over and Steve is back from his trips.
