Considering a shoulder pauldron and looking for information
RAIDER replied to DashNolan's topic in Crimson Stormtrooper
@DashNolan You should submit a Specialist application to see how close you are. -
To the Mudtroopers out there...
RAIDER replied to vegecethepilot's topic in Armor/Soft Parts and Where to Find Them
If you go here you will see 3 pinned Mudtrooper builds that should be very helpful. https://forum.specops501st.com/forum/151-mudtroopers/ -
Sergeant Kreel WIP. Comic Star Wars (2015) Issue #59&60
RAIDER replied to darthRivera's topic in Sergeant Kreel
I agree w @Fivezero. the bell angle doesnt look as “steep”. also i think u can extend it a tad over the shoulder strap but with a curve out if that makes sense -

It looks good. if theres a way to clean up the edges and sharpen the edges i think ud have it nailed 100% anxious to see it all together -
Nice! Itd be sweet to get this one “greenlit” finally. The last holdover lol

Sergeant Kreel WIP. Comic Star Wars (2015) Issue #59&60
RAIDER replied to darthRivera's topic in Sergeant Kreel
It might be more work than you want to attempt, but some mechanism that u attach to the bell (rivets, snaps etc) that allow the cover to “float” and swivel so you can have some shoulder mobility would be sweet -
Sergeant Kreel WIP. Comic Star Wars (2015) Issue #59&60
RAIDER replied to darthRivera's topic in Sergeant Kreel
I think due to the “version” of Kreel you have chosen in those particular issues, I would say follow those references which means you will NOT use a pauldron but instead some custom shoulder bell cover. As far as material that is hard to say. A matte orange plastic cover over the bell or leather -
Considering a shoulder pauldron and looking for information
RAIDER replied to DashNolan's topic in Crimson Stormtrooper
Im talking about the teeth being black. I know gray is acceptable ...im suggesting a repaint to black to match the black pauldron. but again just a suggestion -

Sergeant Kreel WIP. Comic Star Wars (2015) Issue #59&60
RAIDER replied to darthRivera's topic in Sergeant Kreel
I think you are right on the fasteners. Its a minor detail but seems consistent in the art and I think we could allow for 2 fasteners for Level 1 in the CRL but make 4 fasteners the Level 2 requirement. Great find! Interestingly the belt buttons are not consistent nor the angled belt corners lol -
Finalizing CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
RAIDER replied to IcyTrooper's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
And just to triple verify...everything aligning with the IAT 100% is aligned? -
The short answer is “yes” using the chest armor is NOT approveable under the CRL.
-
Ultimately you would need to clear any non-CRL parts use with your GML and CO for use at events. Definitely not for use at an LFL sanctioned event and in using the parts not something we at the Detachment would post on our social media. Just check with your garrison leads first.

New CRL Proposal: Imperial Army Officer (Various Sources)
RAIDER replied to izzi's topic in Imperial Army Officer
From what I saw in that link…it's a custom action figure…and while we can use action figures as a periphery reference, we would need screen or print references. Again, just be sure 100% that what you're looking for isn't some custom job. The internet has so much out there, it's easy to be misled. Really, the most reliable reference to use for something like this would be the Battlefront 2 character skin…BUT…it's an officer and so you would first need to check with the Imperial Officer Corps Detachment if they'd take this costume or if you should pursue it here.- 89 replies

New CRL Proposal: Imperial Army Officer (Various Sources)
RAIDER replied to izzi's topic in Imperial Army Officer
The main issue is...the references we use MUST be official references from LFL/Disney sources...not fan art, fan films, fan-made digital skins, custom figures, etc. Thats why I ask the where the pics are coming from because if they arent coming from an official LFL/Star Wars source, we cannot use them- 89 replies

Shoulder bells and belt for army troopers?
RAIDER replied to That one guy's topic in Imperial Army Trooper
Not sure what the picture above is from. More info on that would be good But the closest I have seen are these which is at this point a stalled CRL due to limited references: -

To the Mudtroopers out there...
RAIDER replied to vegecethepilot's topic in Armor/Soft Parts and Where to Find Them
I will let guys like @JAFO @rickyboyblue chime in but Jim Tripon is a common supplier. Andrew McClary as well. Many people print their own kits. An idea...when ur done w the transport driver...get the Mudtrooper parts n join us here as well! -
Finalizing CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
RAIDER replied to IcyTrooper's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
To me that look like a raised circle not so much a line or cut-in circle -
If using a site like Imgur, just copy the picture link into the reply and then press enter and it should show the pic.

Update has been published and is live. GMLs are encouraged to give around a 3 month grade period for builders in progress. Please have them contact us if any issues arise. Thanks to @thisiskevin for modeling the CRL and working to get that bandoleer spot on with Level 2 requirements shown..and of course to the CRL team for putting the work to publish this one. General Weir is now eligible for Level 2 Specialist approval here at the detachment as well.
