  1. The short answer is “yes” using the chest armor is NOT approveable under the CRL.
  2. Ultimately you would need to clear any non-CRL parts use with your GML and CO for use at events. Definitely not for use at an LFL sanctioned event and in using the parts not something we at the Detachment would post on our social media. Just check with your garrison leads first.
  3. From what I saw in that link…it's a custom action figure…and while we can use action figures as a periphery reference, we would need screen or print references. Again, just be sure 100% that what you're looking for isn't some custom job. The internet has so much out there, it's easy to be misled. Really, the most reliable reference to use for something like this would be the Battlefront 2 character skin…BUT…it's an officer and so you would first need to check with the Imperial Officer Corps Detachment if they'd take this costume or if you should pursue it here.
  4. The main issue is...the references we use MUST be official references from LFL/Disney sources...not fan art, fan films, fan-made digital skins, custom figures, etc. Thats why I ask the where the pics are coming from because if they arent coming from an official LFL/Star Wars source, we cannot use them
  5. Not sure what the picture above is from. More info on that would be good But the closest I have seen are these which is at this point a stalled CRL due to limited references:
  6. I will let guys like @JAFO @rickyboyblue chime in but Jim Tripon is a common supplier. Andrew McClary as well. Many people print their own kits. An idea...when ur done w the transport driver...get the Mudtrooper parts n join us here as well!
  7. To me that look like a raised circle not so much a line or cut-in circle
  8. If using a site like Imgur, just copy the picture link into the reply and then press enter and it should show the pic.
  9. Update has been published and is live. GMLs are encouraged to give around a 3 month grade period for builders in progress. Please have them contact us if any issues arise. Thanks to @thisiskevin for modeling the CRL and working to get that bandoleer spot on with Level 2 requirements shown..and of course to the CRL team for putting the work to publish this one. General Weir is now eligible for Level 2 Specialist approval here at the detachment as well.
  10. The idea is there! Yes I think something to conceal the forearm below the screen...that might mean mounting the LEDs on a piece and then putting underneath
  11. Sure. rock e-11 w a not to add the second when ur rdy
  12. yea all clear for me. at this point, its on you to just finish up your build...hopefully before this term expires...and blaster options
  13. I'm not opposed to any belt type at L1...but yea just specify L2 has all those particular details (or lack of certain details) to weed out ANH or other types of belts as L2 options.
  14. Just to clarify on the belt then @Fivezero to make sure I understand... By "regular available belts" are you referring to any style of TK belt including ANH TK style? The reason I'm hanging on this...is those have the square button in the center. I would def want that mentioned in L2 that the center button shouldn't be there at all if that's the case.
  15. You’re talking my language @darthRivera I actually started snappings of these guys this weekend. Personally I am eyeing Cav (knife guy). Keep the momentum going! If you email me all of your references in a zip or google drive folder to iamdarthraider@gmail.com I can create a reference thread and upload these directly to the forums. @nanotek I can tell u one of these will prob be my next build. might be worth looking into starting a SCAR Squadron forum section down the line.
  16. Glad the videos gave ya a boost! If I remember correctly we met in person at an armor party. Best wishes on your build and will be following with interest.

  21. I would lean to that approach as well…when we did the Mudtrooper we made sure as an example to make the distinguishing details of the chest plate a Level 1 requirement to the letter so as to differentiate the piece from other similar chest plates like General Veers'.
