I went in game...for Supremacy (which doesnt allow cross-era character play)...only the E-11 is an option now...along with the rocket launcher
-
What system do you play on btw lol?

Regarding different CRLs...we can approach it as either or. I think if the helmets have enough difference, we could lobby for a new CRL. Edit: Clarifying...between Commander and default prob tabs. Between Legacy and the updates...probably new CRL.
-
Excellent! I will respond to each point here. Regarding the naming...if anyone ever built the new skin, then we would need to explore either adding "Legacy" to this variant OR adding a tab to the current CRL as a "Version 2" so the name is shared. The other option is to use "Jumptrooper" as that is what the new skin was named in Rebels (no hose version). Either way, we don't need to address that until the other version is built. 1) Ab buttons...will need to add these to references. The primary up close shot we had of the ab did indeed appear to be all black. This will need to be a Level 1 adjustment. 2) I don't remember the E-11 in gameplay. Likewise the SE-44C. Interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong...the weapon options for this class are static right? Unlike the standard classes where you can cross-use weapons from different eras. The SE in particular is a FO weapon...that's where I hesitate a bit and ask about the weapon options for the class. 3) We would need to define "metallic" more. You can have black mettalic...dark gray...silver...chrome. That has to be nailed down more. Lighting is a two-edged sword...the gloss of black can give a white "bright" reflection...so while it might not appear black in some screens, it does in others. I have a feeling we may be stuck with no fully correct answer on this and come to an consensus on interpretation. 4) See point 3 on lighting. 5) See point 3 on lighting. 6) Connected to point 3 on lighting...but the weathering is definitive. For this, I think we can safely leave black as an option. Whether some version of metallic is added is a separate discussion. 7) See point 6. You didn't mention the mohawk here...but I think that's worth noting so I will add a numero 8: 8. Mohawk. Would need to figure out wording, but the question is would we make that a Level 1 or Level 2 adjustment (continuous slope from forehead to mohawk)? If you notice anything else, please drop em in here.

I was literally thinking about you/this last night before I fell asleep. Glad you received my telepathic communications! I've split the proposal post off of this thread so as not to derail your WIP. It is now located here for discussion: https://forum.specops501st.com/topic/7566-blackfoxs-crlupdate-proposal/

Ok...hit up Andrew...head over to FISD and show the same to kick it off and then they should be able to guide you from there. Thanks for checking here, but I think that's where it would land regardless and better to just start off in there I think. -

Let me ping Andrew then. -
Fallen Order Heavy Assault Stormtrooper
RAIDER replied to TheLoneRanger's topic in TX Research & Development Bay
Hey @TheLoneRanger! There are no build threads here for sure. These days with the influx of SW characters, typically LMOs have been putting off any placement of characters in a det until they are certain someone will be doing the build. If you are for sure going to do this, I can give the LMOs a heads up. As far as the description...my personal hunch is that even though the words say one thing, the white armor and the TK build will probably land this in FISD. Have you approached them at all? If so, then I can speak w/ Andrew the DL over there and we can get the ball rolling if this is a build you will certainly start and need to know where to start a build/CRL thread. Let me know. Thanks!!! -
Proposed Imperial Death Trooper CRL Update
RAIDER replied to Chaos's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
Im saying I would add the word Optional in front of that yellow bit. So it is even optional for Level 2 approval. See Shadow Scout CRL thermal detonator as an example of what I mean. -
Proposed Imperial Death Trooper CRL Update
RAIDER replied to Chaos's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
Yea after thinking on it more I think u should add it as an optional Level 2 item...im all for preserving costume info we know in the crl tho this one prob isnt 100% necessary for requirement for shorter troopers. Sound good? -
Proposed Imperial Death Trooper CRL Update
RAIDER replied to Chaos's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
For the shins, if that detail would be “lost” for short troopers (I picture the female DT I met from Puerto Rico Garrison as an example) due to trimming...maybe not include. L2 should still be inclusive for different sized people. Could list it as an optional L2 item so the detail is still included on the CRL -
By the update proposal (posted here for a few months now)...no. Only officers have the jacks...no panel presented showed an army trooper with higher boots that those participating in the discussion could see.

Knees should be fine. May want to strap those before painting (as you will need to rivet the upper straps in and the rivets will need to be black).

Congrats!!!

complete Sithtrooper Belt - CRL Development Discussion
RAIDER replied to nanotek's topic in CRL Discussion Archive
We have handled L2 and L3 equally here (hence no L3 in Spec Ops CRLs)...and so details and measures at L2 aren't out of the question. Our Mudtrooper CRL has some measures on belt drop boxes...can add with "approximate" if the measures are not known...it wouldn't be abnormal for us persay. If they are an unknown, can leave them off. -

Good. No L2 here (which is fine if not)? Could add for L2 that the piece does NOT connect to the butt plate at all. Make that a mandatory for L2. -

I don't have pics to post up...but when we do CRL model pics, we should probably ask for a shot of that oval recessed detail as an example. -
Best wishes on your approval! Keep us updated! @Blackwatch how are we looking here as far as having a potential Specialist applicant?

Reviewed...L1/L2 split looks good here. Identified some gallery shots when the time comes. -
complete Sithtrooper Spats - CRL Development Discussion
RAIDER replied to nanotek's topic in CRL Discussion Archive
Spats look set. To verify for CRL purposes just so I can picture it...the greeblie...we will add a closeup of that pic or some other reference of it in the CRL gallery? -
I think we are generally safe in line counts going to L2...even for everything. Most people will be buying kits based off of film references. I'd also wager that the majority build off the CRL pics as their primary reference, not the actual references threads (including the toy references) aside from an applicant here or there...or the first batch of troopers who don't have a CRL to reference from. All that to say that I believe most people won't base their build off the Hot Toy references...but even if they did, I'm not certain that affects the general look of a Level 1 Sith Trooper...no one would notice the line counts. For a GML...an approx. should work so there are no major deviations.
