  1. So this was the initial text, that I didn't feel was accurate, talked about seamless: Lower Leg Armor Painted gloss black to match the rest of the armor Lower legs are mirror images of each other. The front of the armor has a triangular detail at the top of the leg and a hard ridge line down the front of the shin. Back of the lower legs have an indentation just under the calf that travels down to the ankle. The outside of the calf is closed. Calf can have an access area on the inside of the leg. Calves are seamless and have a trap door access through the indent in the rear of the lower leg. Bottom of backside has an arched recessed area. If it truly has seams on both the inside and outside, then do we adopt the FBFX text from CTD or a variation thereof? Here is the FBFX stuff:
  2. Best of luck on the approval submission!
  3. We have requested the CRL unlock and will be working on getting it updated when the LMOs open it. We'll probably have some training session going on with this with newer DCAs as well, so that they learn how to update the Wiki. I'll post here again when it is fully updated!
  4. We can write stuff in there for the padding as an optional thing to help placement, but if it is used it needs to be inconspicuous. Knee Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Knees have a protruding flat area in front oriented towards the top of knee. Knees bend around the front and connect to black detail clips that connect the strap on each side. A black colored rubber or rubber-like strap, about 2 inches (50.8mm) wide, wraps around back of leg. The strap is not wider than the area it connects to. The strap may be smooth or feature raised edge details. Padding may be used behind the knee armor to help with the placement, if it is used it must be inconspicuous and black. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The strap features raised edge details. Near the connection point on either end, three raised arches are present on the strap. We should be able to push to the Lower Leg Armor which looks to be just like all the other clone lower leg armor. There is some inspiration from the FBFX CRL from The Mando: Lower Leg Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Lower legs are mirror images of each other. The front of the armor has a flat triangular detail at the top of the leg and a hard ridge line down the front of the shin. Back of the lower legs have an arched indentation just under the calf that travels down to the ankle. The outside of the calf is closed. The armor may feature faint seams on the interior face. Seam is completely vertical, with little to no gap.
  5. Ahh yeah, the good old car dealership laptop focus issue I'll address the 1st part below, but for the second part, is there confirmed padding we can see? I plugged both of your responses together as it was stated that FBFX made the kit and they used the same assets when it comes to "clone" parts. If that is the case I think we should review the CTD CRL for the FBFX kit and mimic that text. When it comes to measurements in the CRL for L1/basic approval we do have the following disclaimer "Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval.", so we are covered either way. We can call out specific measurements in the L2 details, which is what we've done before. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The strap features raised edge details. Near the connection point on either end, three raised arches are present on the strap.
  6. Great discussion for the Knee Armor, here are the changes: Knee Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Knees have a protruding flat area in front oriented towards the top of knee. Knees bend around the front and connect to black detail clips that connect the strap on each side. A black colored rubber or rubber-like strap, about 2 inches (50.8mm) wide, wraps around back of leg. The strap may be smooth or feature ridges the run the length of the strap on the outer edges. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The strap features ridges the run the length of the strap on the outer edges. I think this is what we are looking for?
  7. Hey all, changes in equipment will be treated like the IAT: Andor trooper we did, as well as how Spec Ops has done CRLs in the past (i.e., Mudtrooper, etc.) with various tabs for specific characters. Thanks DCA team for jumping in to get this wrapped up! As far as the baton goes, that is considered a weapon and will be an optional accessory, we can make the holster a requirement if we want (ref: Patrol Trooper from Solo).
  8. I'd say whoever's armor we have had the cut out images (starting around page 13 of this thread) is probably the one for the CRL model. For the next one we have the Thigh Armor which looked pretty good. I took a look at a realistic CTD CRL to see if we could shape it up a bit: Thigh Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Front of thigh armor has a flat triangle area above the knee which transitions to a ridge line that runs up the front of the thigh to the top edge. Rear of armor has an indented area. There should be a visible seam down the inside and outside of the armor. I also dropped in the Knee Armor to get us finalized with that: Knee Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Knees have a protruding flat area in front oriented towards the top of knee. Knees bend around the front and connect to black detail clips that connect the strap on each side. A black colored strap, about 2 inches (50.8mm) wide, wraps around back of leg.
  9. From what I can see they look good! Could you get one of the gloves without the armor on it as well? I just realized we need that as well. Then we are set! I'm going to request that the CRL gets unlocked either this evening or tomorrow so that we can get the text and images updated. For the front and back images at the top we list the TX number and photographer. It'll be TX-21814 and not sure who you want as the photographer name?
  10. I think we are good with both. For the Posterior Armor I think keeping the raised center part is good based on keeping the Kama look with what we see: Posterior Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Posterior armor hangs from kidney armor, separated from the cod armor. Armor features raised details in the center. We can push onto the next one which is the Belt. I'm also thinking that we split up the Thermal Detonator into another entry. Belt Belt is painted gloss black. Eight boxes are painted gloss black and two are painted gloss red to match the red found on other armor pieces. Belt has is flat surfaced with raised edging on top and bottom that run along the remainder of the belt. Front of belt has three vertical rectangular indents which are spaced apart by two raised rectangular smaller boxes. Left side box is red and the right side box is black. The remaining eight belt boxes are attached with four on each side. The two largest boxes in front are angled with top surface higher toward the center. There is a reversed "U-shaped" indention on the top half of the box with two horizontally recessed lines just below the indention. There are two smaller boxes located on each outer side of the aforementioned largest boxes. These smaller boxes have a downward angular slope away from top to bottom. Each box has a small recessed square is located near the bottom edge. Recessed line runs through box just below the top of the square. The left side box is black and right side box is red. There are two medium sized boxes that resemble a pouch with flap like top cover, one on each hip to the rear of the two aforementioned smaller boxes. A small raised rectangle runs near the bottom front of each box. There is a raised vertical rectangle on each side of each box. There are two medium sized boxes on the rear of the belt on each side of the thermal detonator. Each of these boxes have two square buttons on the upper front corner of a larger raised rectangle. The bottom area is lower than the top area and sides of box angle up slightly. Two dashed indented marks appear near lower back corner on front of box closest to the thermal detonator. The back of the belt behind the rear boxes may have horizontal ribbing. A thermal detonator is centered and attached to back of belt. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The back of the belt behind the rear boxes must have horizontal ribbing. Thermal Detonator Thermal detonator is painted gloss black with the following details: Detonator tube is about 2 1/4 inch (57.15mm) diameter with two wider detailed straps near the end caps. Seven vertical rectangular buttons are on left side of tube, facing backwards. Ends of the detonator have an inset circle. Rectangle shape cuts through circle and is slightly raised. Small round cap extends above rectangle.
  11. It was recently brought to the attention of the detachment that the Biker Scout ROTJ costume is getting a CRL update to ban the use of Walt's Trooper Factory (WTF) scout helmets from L1 (basic) approval. I have initially responded to the posting with the following response: I'll have a discussion with the team, but as of right now I don't not have plans to follow suit as Pathfinders (at no discredit to them or at arms with them). Our character has been based on comic book and low-poly video game characters. We do have provisions in our CRL that follow the Pathfinder's ROTJ CRL to allow for the easier building of costume with shared details. However, I do believe this could be addressed in updating the CRL to state "Scout style helmet accurate in shape and form as per the reference image"; although one can argue that the CRL text already addresses this by stating "Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume." I too have assisted in the building of a WTF helmet and costume with a fellow member and had the same results. Basic approval to me comes back to allowing the best access to parts to make the costume. The proper work can be put in to make the WTF helmet work and be approvable globally at L1. With that being said, it is in the best interest of the detachment to bring this to a public discussion which will also tag in our various detachment costume advisors (DCAs) to get us in the right direction.

I will create a new thread for this going forward for input so that we don't take over this member's thread. The thread was created here:
  13. I first read that as the armor was gray and was going to ask how that is even a thing, but then I realized it was the undersuit. I can see how when you put gloss black against a matte black suit the appearance can be gray; but I don't think I've ever heard of that before. The TD is definitely a GML call on that one, glad you were able to quickly make the corrections and get it back to them. Fingers crossed!
  14. @TK 21814 we are about done with the CRL image making for this. Do you have the undersuit and shoulder bib you can upload to that Google Drive we provided in the past?
  15. Yeah, I agree that without the posterior armor it would not look right. My concern is that we can't really require specific details on the armor if we can't see it. Not sure if any of the inside people have any information on this.
  16. Onto the Cod Armor and Posterior Armor, deriving this from standard clone FBFX stuff which actually aligns with the on screen and action figure images. Cod Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Cod armor hangs from abdomen armor, separated from the posterior armor. Cod armor is triangular in shape with a soft bottom edge. Cod features a trapezoidal groove on the bottom area. The only thing I can say about the posterior armor is that I cannot see it in any of the on screen shots or even in the action figure images. It appears to be present based on the way the Kama is sitting on the on screen images, but we can't confirm details other than "FBFX" did it. That is why I put that text in red. I don't believe the omitting it from it will give us the look that we are seeking, but I could be wrong. Posterior Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Posterior armor hangs from kidney armor, separated from the cod armor. Armor features raised circular details on either corner facing closest to the cod armor. Armor features raised details in the center.
  17. The only officially approvable blaster for that IAT: Andor trooper in the CRL is the E10.5 blaster. Any other blaster would have to be built by a member with the appropriate reference materials (as you posted) for it to get included, unless there is another blaster out there that another detachment has built that we can pull from from the same TV series.
  18. Excellent, we'll have to see if we can get more angles then. After that, in order to add it to the CRL, either you or someone would have to build it and we'd create the CRL entry text for it with images that person provides.
  19. Wow!! Very nice and what an awesome gf! I love the shine on the Anovos kits! I can't imagine there will be any issues with the approval, great job catching the belt with 2 screws only...that is a change we made a few years ago. I truly hope that Denuo Novo brings these back with the same shine
  20. @PRFUZZ7 welcome! We inherited the Purge Troopers from CTD, so my best guess is that no one has built that weapon yet for a CRL, thus it couldn't be added to the CRL. Did you snag those screens from in-game? If so and we have all angles of the gun then we could add it to the CRL as a possible weapon (we'd definitely love to add more stuff from in game!), would just need you or someone to build it. It'd be your GML's discretion on trooping with various weapons since they aren't required costume components due to the wide variety of local laws.
  21. I'm glad you remembered that link because of the life of me I couldn't! I also agree that at first glance it does appear to be a Cody pack.
  22. I'm guessing that FBFX made this kit as well? CTD just released their Mandalorian 501st Trooper CRL so I see those references that you posted were most likely the CRL phones before they were edited into that armor. I'm having a hard time seeing that in the images from the screen which is a small issue as the figurines/action figures don't have that "trauma plate" as I like to call it (from the R1 stuff). That CRL has the abdomen armor and front belt combined and then a separate section with the kidney armor and back belt. I don't think we need to specifically have those just like CTD though, since we are talking about one plate. I do believe that we should make it so that it connects only in the back, that is going to look at lot cleaner for most proportions and body types. Abdomen Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Two inset lines divide the abdomen armor into segments. Four holes, approximately ¼ inch (6.35mm) in diameter, are present in each inset line. Abdomen armor is completely contained under the chest and back armor. Abdomen armor wraps around the wearer’s body and connects at the rear via a rectangular kidney armor plate which covers any visible seams. There is no visible method of attachment for this kidney armor plate. The kidney armor plate is made of the same material as the rest of the armor and is painted to match. @dewannawanga I don't see any issue with that date. After we get the text finally completed we'll get the images curated and trimmed out and start putting the text and images into the CRL. From there the LMOs will continue to review it all and make sure there is nothing standing out. When it passes that it'll get in the queue and worked out by the LMO team with the GMLs whose garrison you're in to get it added. I'm tagging @ionicdesign in this so that he sees the process, but I know he has been monitoring. @jakebullet welcome! To keep this thread focused on the CRL creation, you may want to post in this thread for that :
  23. Onto the Abdomen Armor now! I see that it is pretty much identical to the P2 realistic armor, so this makes sense why it was derived from that. Abdomen Armor Armor is painted gloss black. Two inset lines divide the abdomen armor into segments. Four holes, approximately ¼ inch (6.35mm) in diameter, are present in each inset line. Abdomen armor wraps around the wearer’s body and is sealed at the sides or back. Abdomen armor is completely contained under the chest and back armor.
