Chris would this new file work wth the box inserts in the back? I have all that printed, and Im not opposed to running a new print for the new back and chest parts knowing that these would align properly with velcro.

Agreed, we just had Mardi Gras here and the world basically collapsed around us into a drunken mass. -

All the research and the test paints were done in the Andor topic. The black color appears to be Montana Gold Anthracite. -

well done as always Patricia. your goggles showed up last night, Ill get them out to you ASAP with your husbands ERT pants. I thnk you may be the first to make pouches from scratch. Would that be something you would consider doing for others, especially in Europe where the shipping from here would be redonkulous? -

Death Trooper Helmet sources?
Blackwatch replied to RobC_TX1138's topic in Armor Tips, Tricks and Tutorials
i have to print my helmets, most helmets will not fit me, or if they do, they are TIGHT. -
we prefer that you link directly to a third party host such as Imgur or photobucket rather than load directly since that front loads our storage. I have dozens maybe a hundred photos linked from both of my accounts here. Instructions on how to load images are found in the Recon Dragons instructions page.

I jus got a brand new prototype suit from Philonius and the standing collar is really stiff. I think it has some stabilizer in there. Its also fairly tall. I think I really like that over the whimpy collars I have been making. I have asked him if he can look into making green IA coveralls for us. -

Its a large, flapped pocket. There are EXTREMELY few options for the coveralls especially in my size, so when I wrote it I left it vague on purpose. The art does not agree with itself and when it does show something, it's completely inconsistent. We have stuff showing up in one panel that is never seen again on any other panel. That's the limitations of working from comic artists. Concerning the two piece, I believe you did that before on one of your RL uniforms? Where you hid the split line under the belt? -

From Fraser (who was on set as a extra in uniform) the helmets are the same used for the green troopers in the checkpoints scenes, and those were repainted to the dark grey after the Rix road scenes were filmed. Many of the parts used came in boxes marked R1 but it is likely the case that the armor and helmets were new. Several parts of the armor bits did not survive these scenes for use at the later filming dates for the security checkpoint. The helmet is somewhat different from the mudtrooper helmet, but the text for the checkpoint version has already been completed. -

Thank you @sonfield, as always tank you @fb501 and @BigJasoni I agree, and Ill tag @IcyTrooper to let him know that Ill be including the verbiage suggested in that first round proposal. I was watching a Korean space epic last week, and the armor was clearly form fitting and flexed when the actress moved. Ok, so its Friday and as previously stated Ill be packaging up the blaster text and adding to the first post. Ill be going with the text proposal I had on Wednesday at 1852. I know we have to wait for the LMO to be ratified and seated before we can push on much further, but with the final text for the blaster, we have a proposal now to put in front of the LMO on day 1. I have already written the text for the soft and armored version of the Security trooper, and Ive noted on rewatching there are some unusual color placements on the black soft uniform. This has been a big effort on the part of a lot of people. We are very fortunate to have Fraser give us his input from the field. Thank you all, Now lets go enjoy the weekend! -

I often order it in ten meter rolls, with shipping, more is less. Make sure to lay the webbing on you so that it lays as flat as possible on your shoulders. The strapping is not a true H shape. It tapers in slightly at the back. -

Patricia those are not plain enough. let me get you a pair here and I can ship it with your husbands ERT pants they are done. Gimme a day, I may need to order them, but with that box going to you I may as well just send you along a pair. I agree, all that you commonly find are steampunk setups. Old, round welding goggles are not that common anymore. -

I just rewatched the sequence. And made interesting observations that will come up when we do the black security troopers. The trooper that gets thrown first at about 36:36 has his armor come apart but you really cant tell what happens to the collar. I looked at all the collars and they all looked Ok. The ribbed straps seemed to have more issues. Those may be cast rubber or eurethane collars. We want to wrap this CRL up. We are literally down to just a buttstock, and thats all that is holding us back from getting this in front of the LMO. After one gets built and photographed we can get the pics of it. Other blasters & equipment need not hold thisCRL submission up. Those would be at most an accessory. So, here is my proposal for the stock end, I want this done so we can present no later than Friday. The stock is modelled after a 416C pattern. The buttplate on the stock may not be ribbed is smooth and has a pill shaped greeblie having three openings fitted with three holes. Two of the holes are circular, the central is rectangular. The buttstock matches the size and shape of those seen on screen, being shorter overall than other Rogue One era buttstocks. The stock has the appearance of being two pieces joined together. -

My thought is , as long as it passes GML for approval, I personally am not going to ask what each part of the costume is made from, as long as it looks right. hell there for a while WTF was sending castings out in something like plaster. Maybe it was resin, but it was terrible. TPU or simlilar, or your tenacious may be the way to go. There is a part on Rix road where a troopers armor splits on him, front to back, and separates. I have to imagine that pull a serious wrench on that collar piece, but I cannot tell if that part survived or not, with the quick editing in the Rix road fight scene. -

Patricia I'm glad to se you here. I know you will knock the engineer out of the park. I love it because 1 its comfortable and 2 it has built in sunglasses! I was a bit concerned when I saw the cut on the boot but I know you will do fine with getting them back up to the required height. Plan on sending in your Specialist application, I really want all of our Army troopers to be Specialists, and its not that much more work to get it for Engineer. -

I think its going to be easier/ clearer if you guys that know the clear cut differences in this stock give us a description or text for the CRL. @BigJasoni are you printing in resin? your layer lines are super faint. @IcyTrooper ill pull the 3d print line. I work at a metro airport and I found what I believe is the buttstock greeblie on the ground last week. I believe its a zipper pull. There are thousands of them on the ground here, I pick them up all day long when they get torn off the luggage after the bag smashers get done with their work smashing bags. I was rushing between planes and didnt have a chance to get a pic of it. We need two or three good photos of the blaster, a top view would be very helpful and someone fully suited up in both configurations, with hat, with helmet and someone fully suited up in just the soft parts with the hat. We do full gallery views for our CRLs and we will need photos of everything for the Gallery. Going back to edit mode, Change log 2.3. Can someone provide text that will clearly capture the intent of what the stock should look like? Change Log 2.3 E-10.5 Blaster Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, cast, 3D print or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. In the end , we have to have both a text and photo description for GMLS who are not familiar with all the different versions of the multitude of weapons listed in CRLs. . I can change the line, but i the end, does that help the GML who will have to approve it? Ive been a GML and had to work my way through a lot of vague descriptions. Ill wait for futher input before I proceed. -

I will add the text for the pill shaped indentation on top of the belt box in the final text on the first page. We would need a good, clear, cropped shot of the box with the pill indentation for the belt box. here is the proposed final text for the blaster. Please review. Once you guys give me the big thumbs up, Ill post this to the first post for Detachment and LMO review. I will change the text in this final proposal to reflect the shorter buttstock.
