Finalizing CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to IcyTrooper's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
Ok thanks for that. Gladly, we will not run into the issue with the helmet rangefinder/comm telemetry unit. With TrooperPX's udate to the Army TRooper he created his own file and has a much more accurate TU that was used. Im going to be working on a new vendor resource list for the Army to be posted, and Ill be reaching out to David for his file. -
what it is like to look through those? man the bubbles PLUS the hole mesh..that has to hurt! I had bubbles in my ATAT rig and tore them out.

If you are handy with a sewing machine, i would say make it. Other than the leather straps that are pretty much glued on top of each other and mounted to the vest, the vest is a rectangle with the molle loops added and the M14 style pouches at the front.

Glad to see this coming to a close, so we can get it out in the field and in use. Eric where did you find the communicator on the webbing? -

Del Meeko paint colors and strip sizes
Blackwatch replied to Kevin037's topic in Inferno Squad Del Meeko
Hi Kevin wow we totally missed this one. The new CRL is posted, but in general the strips on the arms and over the top of the shoulder are 1" which more or less match the color of the decals and patches. On the silver part of the helmet, like the hose mounts, thats a generic silver, or bright aluminum color. I know its too late for an October event but I hope this helps some. Congratulations!! -
some kits come with an inner strip and an outer cover strip. I made up a few WTF TIE helmets last year but I dont remember, but I know i made a bunch of strips to support the helmet internally.
-
Rat can you post a pic please? I dont have this kit, but if I had a visual I could probably figure it out.
-
Ive worn my boots a lot. I also weathered mine with paint and mud, so far it is holding up pretty well.
-
that spray paint is great, for the people that can get it. I painted all my gear with it, and it makes everything match.
-
they look good to me, i mean side by side they look like my Commuter boots.
-
personally, and even thinking of it as a GML, i like this boot. This goes to size 48? Can you measure how big the leg calf opening is around? I know someoone in Yavin Base that wants to do a IA Trooper and she has big legs, so this may work for her

Shoulder bells and belt for army troopers?
Blackwatch replied to That one guy's topic in Imperial Army Trooper
yeah, if it is a customizable character, it cannot be used. If it is a NPC, you MIGHT--and I say MIGHT-- get it past the LMO for Legion use. I just spent a ton of money, time and effort on a Rebel costume that I officially NOPED out of yesterday. The character was a background NPC, it was very fuzzy and in shadow. We had the whole CRL written, I had over a hudred photos taken of the costume, ready to submit to the CRL with all the sources, and somene found the character mesh. I was done at that point , since it would be a complete rewrite, complete rebuild, and was going to cost me a lot of money. So I backed out of it. Unless you can find good clear images, and use meshes and character renders just like we did with the recent Del Meeko crl upgrade, we have to work with the official LFL sources. But if you want to build it for yourself, absolutely! I have my own Officer , which cannot be cleared, but its still a great build and looks good. -
The CRL is based on the official sources, but there is another topic which has been archived which shows an inaccurate, incorrect trooper that used chest armor. There is a single, perhaps two images of Imperial Solders ( IS classification) like the ATST drivers with grey hemlets and grey armor, this came from a single pane from the West End Games source guides. But it does not give us the required 360 degree views. (that said) once your set up is approved, the setup is cleared for use in official Legion events. If you were to add a part here or there for non -official events, just make sure those photos dont make it to the Garrison website.

The Imperial Army in the field? Post your photos here!
Blackwatch replied to vonmoen's topic in Imperial Army Units
thank you and yeah, i wore that kevlar crap. Hated it. The 63 pattern M1 was MUCH better. And you could drop it. And you could dig with it. And you could sit on it. And it did not cost $475 when you dropped it off the back seat of a duece rolling down the A3 headed to the field, and you coudlnt participate because you lost your Kpot. I have several M1s. Good helmets! -
New CRL Proposal: Imperial Army Officer (Various Sources)
Blackwatch replied to izzi's topic in Imperial Army Officer
After all the work I had put into this , we had to shelve it. The soureces we originally worked off of just did not pan out and turned out to be largely fan art, and one wikipedia image of Colonel Veers, which is what I modeled my officer after. At this time, this costume just does not have enough official sources. i have a nice one-off, and I can wear it on my own terms because I love the look of this, but I cannot use it for official events.- 89 replies

Del meeko leather harness straps
Blackwatch replied to Bear1605's topic in Armor Tips, Tricks and Tutorials
just a quiock note here for anyone that may be reading up on old posts ( like I am) the new DM CRL is live, and it requires structured, layered straps like that shown in the game images. I believe you can glue strips of leather together with Barge cement to get the required look. -

Gabriel, I cant speak for the ACD, its been a long time sice i went in there, but when you set up your gear for SO, its worth it to go for the Specialist Program. Those are the Level 2 standards in blue. I'ts tougher, but looks better overall, and we reward our Specialists. -
Thats a good question, and it occurred to me in the past as well. I took a close in look at our CRL model and it appears they are curved to fit the thigh. If you look at the CRL main picture, click on it and it takes you to the gallery view, then click on it again and you can enlarge and really see a lot of detail.

Finalizing CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to IcyTrooper's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
With the lack of triglides, I feel we do not mention it. its not supported in the art, and if its not present in the text, then it would not be judged as presented. on the commlink, I feel like we can treat it one of two ways and still allow for an L2. Version 1: Holder, no commlink L1 Commlink An imperial commlink may be present on the web harness, adjacent to the rank badge on the left suspender. The pouch is green in color matching the rest of the web gear, and is form fitted to hold a Imperial Commlink. Version 2, with commlink An imperial commlink is held inside of a commlink pouch, adjacent to the rank badge on the left suspender. The pouch is olive green in color matching the rest of the web gear, and is form fitted to hold a Imperial Commlink. The commlilnk is a matching olive green color, with a raised band around its midsection featuring raised vertical bars with a black speaker area. Version 3, L2 OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The commlilnk is a matching olive green color, is accurate to original source art, and has a black mesh speaker area. Im getting loopy as I write this, so its not my best descrption, but it gives us an idea of which way to go for a possible L2.
