  1. unless its a seperate color, the base color of the entire suit will be denoted in the text preceeding the Helmet section.
  2. Continue to give us input. were working from a 3d model but you have the 3d parts in hand. Theres a lot you can answer as we go along.
  3. agree, and concur. I like it. Not all straps have those end squares, so its certainly within the realm. Looks like if we follow the oriignal layout from Page 1 Shoulder Armor, then upper arm armor will be next in line.
  4. Our final text for the Engineer shall be : FINAL Boots Below the calf black leather or leather like material. Free of laces, decorative stitching, buckles on the instep or any other embellishments. Zippers on the inside of the boot are acceptable, so long as they are concealed. If the zipper is not covered by vinyl/ leather, it is painted black. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Pants legs shall be tucked into boots and fluffed to give appearance of original source art. Weathering of boots is encouraged. TK Ammo Belt Belt face is made of white plastic (TK ammo belt). The soft belt proper is made of canvas, or material with a canvas covering. Size must be 2.75” (70 mm) to 3.25”(83 mm) wide and not wider than the plastic portion of the belt. The color is be white to off-white. The drop boxes dangle from the sides of the front plastic belt (ammo belt) via white straps and are aligned under the plastic tabs of the ammo belt. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): ROTJ style TK ammo belt. No buttons are present on belt. Drop boxes shall be ANH Stormtrooper size, not ROTJ stormtrooper size.
  5. I follow Radu on FB and he prefers to work on IS and R1 pilots, and I have worn his armor. its quality stuff, so at least thats one maker I can speak to.
  6. you are right, i missed it. To me this thing looks more like a piece sewed onto the front, than a loop. Proposal for L1: A leather or textile loop is located approximately 2" (50mm) above the specific tri glide greeblie on the front of each shoulder strap. Proposal for L2 A leather strip as wide as the strap, and 7/8" {22.2mm) tall is located approximately 2" (50mm) above the specific tri glide greeblie on the front of each shoulder strap. The leather strip is sewn at the ends, firmly mounting it to the strap. proposed edit for L1 The front shoulder strap buckles are tri-glide buckles. Vest-front tri-glides are attached to the vest with 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" (35mm x 35mm) loops. The quick release buckles on the back of the vest are attached by 1" (25 mm) loops. There is a an approximately 1.5" x 1" (38mm x 25mm) specific buckle greeblie mounted above the tri-glide buckles on each side matching reference images. The front shoulder strap buckles are tri-glide buckles. A leather or textile loop is located approximately 2" (50mm) above the specific tri glide greeblie on the front of each shoulder strap. The shoulder straps cross near the top of the back armor box. Each shoulder strap has a tri-glide that the end of each strap feeds into, near the back Proposal edit for L2 Front shoulder straps which go over the shoulder and continue to the back are made of 3 layers of ribbed/ grooved leather strips which are glued/sewed/bonded together. The first (bottom) layer is 1 3/8" (35mm) with the middle layer added to that. The middle layer shall be 1" (25mm) wide. The final layer is centered on top of the first two layers, and is 9/16" (15mm) wide. The three bonded strips run the length of the forward portion of the shoulder strap assembly. A leather strip as wide as the strap, and 7/8" {22.2mm) tall is located approximately 2" (50mm) above the specific tri glide greeblie on the front of each shoulder strap. The leather strip is sewn at the ends, firmly mounting it to the strap. The grooved part of the leather shoulder straps stop just past the wearers shoulders, and continues on as a single 1" (25mm) black leather strap, passing through tri-glides and into specific quick release buckles, which are held to the vest with 1" (25mm) black leather loops. (see Reference Images and the Costume Gallery for placement and constructio
  7. i think it will depend on the individual. If they wear a long balaclava, no.
  8. Mouth has 4 teeth either side of the center “tooth." it would read better to say Mouth has 4 teeth on either side of the center tooth. under Helmet section, L2 all sentences need periods added. Under Neck Seal L2 needs a period added to final sentence. Thats it. Thats all I could find~
  9. I helped with the CRL, but I dont know the armor ins and outs on this one. Lets get you some help in here so you can get in on the right foot. Check the next topic down from yours, it may help you out.
  10. sounds good. I mean, if its not seen, its not seen, unless a guy has a tall neck.
  11. yep, someone has to be first. Ive done it. Its worth it!
  12. Ive taken three different neckseals and posted them here for review, and discussion: Concept TK CRL Clone CRL TK CRL Neck Seal The neck seal may be ribbed, smooth or a balaclava. Color may be Gray, to match under armor, or Black. Neck Seal Neck seal is black in color with vertical ribbing or being smooth in appearance. No logos or labels are visible. If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable. Neck Seal Black with horizontal ribs, fitted to the wearer, and extending from the base of the neck to conceal the entire neck. With these as established CRL text versions we can pick one, or pick one as L1 and another as L2.
  13. Can we get feedback/ concurrence on the changes I have proposed above?
  14. the CRL is changing, and its a pillow. In our discussions, I stated that its a small shooters pillow, to rest your wrist on for stability. The elastic surrounding it seems to just hold it to the vest so it can be yanked out quickly for use.
  15. after review, I see a verbiage change I want to make: Green = Additions Red = Delete Purple = Questions --------------------------------- Helmet Shape of the helmet matches the CRL image and information below: The helmet is based on the standard Stormtrooper helmet, but features larger cheek tubes which bridge into a truncated nose, which is larger and wider than the standard stormtrooper faceplate. The faceplate stops at the earcap, and flares outward at an up-swept angle when viewed from the front. The helmet features a wide skirt originating at the back of the earcap, and sweeps out and downward away from the dome and traps. The skirt widens to partially cover the top of the wearers backplate, and completely covers the shoulder straps. The skirt sweeps back at about level to the rest of the bottom of the helmet, and ends at a point. The skirt is enclosed at the bottom, all the way around, as found in other Stormtrooper helmets. Lenses must be sufficiently dark enough to obscure the costumer's eyes. They are either flat or bubbled. Acceptable colors are color is dark red. Backlit LEDs give an illuminated glow effect on the lenses. The body of the "ears" must be gray. The bars have three or four bumps and are gray. Ear bump section is outlined in black. The frown must have 8 teeth cut out and dark gray coloring must not leave the indented area. Black mesh must be used to obscure the face of the wearer. The tube stripes are medium blue or dark grey in color and may number between 9 and 16 per side with the curve bends extending backwards. These can be either hand painted or decals. Vocoder (vertically ribbed chin detail) must be black and is correct in size and shape in relation to the faceplate. The aerators (cylinders on either side of the vocoder) are black, and screening can be either silver or black. The interior of the aerator must be red. Red LEDs within the aerator give the appearance that it is glowing. Tears (area beneath the corners of the eye lenses) may be hand painted or decals and must be gray. Tears are outlined in black. Tears have vertical black lines. Front traps (trapezoids on the dome of the helmet) may be hand painted or decals and must be gray. Front traps are outlined in black. There are no vertical black lines on the front traps. Rear traps (trapezoids on the dome of the helmet) may be hand painted or decals and must be gray. Rear traps are outlined in black. Rear traps have vertical black lines. OPTIONAL Level Two certification (if applicable): Ears shall have three screws per side, one above and one below the ear bar and one at the base of the helmet. Ear bars have four bumps, not three. The third bump from the front is black. The tube stripes are positioned approximately a pencil width from the side of the cheek. The fall of tube stripe tops ideally lean toward the front.
  16. your corrosion is like how I do mine on models, I apply dark grey or dark brown paint and sprinkle baking soda on that, go over with a thinned down lighter color, then drybrush and apply a wash. Good effect overall.
