New CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to Tarrif's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
yes it does and you are on track. Shane was originally going to source the stuff for this and do it. The only issue may be having the correct matching fabric for the arm pockets. I have in the past cut the leg bottoms off my pants, sewed a piece of fabric back on so they can tuck back in, and made pockets with that fabric. You dont even "NEED" working pockets. a strip the size of the one seen on regular crewmans uniforms, suitably folded/ tucked under and stitched, looks like a pocket. Ive done it, I just cant use it as a pocket. you may be able to make two pockets out of a single pants leg cuff that way. Maybe. The rest is either readily sourced or in these modern times, printed.- 119 replies

New CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to Tarrif's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
I am bumping this topic. Currently we do not have the officer version of the Imperial Army trooper established. The CRL is a guide, but we need someone to be the first to build it.- 119 replies

Proposal for Army Trooper CRL Update
Blackwatch replied to ShovelGuy's topic in Imperial Army Trooper
on the goggles strap color, i see OD in most of the photos, but I would accept black at L1. I would suggest black strap for L1 and an olive / green tone strap for L2 approval. On the belt, I feel we can use the regular green pistol belts for L1 , and as I said above, if the builder can find a belt with no grommets, that should be allowed for L2 but not made mandatory, which is why I said that the belt MAY feature grommets at L2. I have another proposal to make, just so everone is on the same page. These pouches are pretty simple with no real features other than the snap. Pouches with zippers shall have the zippers covered or concealed either with a matching fabric or tight weave webbing. Zipper pulls are either removed or hidden from view. No velcro shall be visible. -
dude, serious, that was a super helfpul tutorial.

man congratulations on approval!!! yes this is intended to be a fast and easy / low dollar unit, and you will have fun wearing it. Trust me, throw those goggles on per the comics with the hat flapped around andyou WILL get comments! Now go dig a ditch1

raIsed surface features? raised boxes? if you need a wide material that will bend I have made fabric hinges with three layers of fabric stitched at the edges, and I have also used 4" wide elastic. it is sold as mil spec elastic, but its just really wide elastic, and comes in colors like black and white

Proposal for Army Trooper CRL Update
Blackwatch replied to ShovelGuy's topic in Imperial Army Trooper
On the belt, I feel we can keep the grommets. The images between the Trooper, Engineer and Sapper vary. Most dont show it. some do. To me thats the same reason the artist didnt draw the text into the sapper tab over the IA patch. We have been approving all three types with the standard military style grommets as Specialistis. I support keeping this standard belt, unless we rephotograph all the CRL model images to preclude betlt grommets. We can change the wording so that the L2 text may or may not feature grommets. Or we can put that into the L1 text. Such as Belt may feature grommets that run along both the top and bottom of its length. On the goggles, all straps are black. The sizes vary, but anything in the 1" (25mm) range or wider should be fine. This is what we have proposed for the Engineer and Sapper Pouches with zippers shall have the zippers covered or concealed either with a matching fabric or tight weave webbing. Zipper pulls are either removed or hidden from view. -
Proposal for updates to the Army Engineer

I think we need to add this to all the Army trooper variants. -

Wanna throw out a minor change to the belt pouches. Since none are visible , its been discussued that zippers and zipper pulls should not be visible. This is not covered in the CRL. So, with a line, we can remove any zippers. They can easily be covered with a layer of fabric tape *light tight weave military webbing* or the pouch could be flipped upside down. The pulls shall be removed or completely hidden. Proposal , new text in orange BELT POUCHES Belt pouches are olive green in color and should be made of nylon or similar material. A minimum of 4 small pouches are required, which may consist of any combination of double handcuff, small utility pouches, magazine pouches or other molle style pouches of similar size. Two pouches should be placed in front - One on each side of the belt buckle where the harness meets the belt. The remaining pouches may be placed anywhere on the sides or back of the belt. Any additional OD green MOLLE style pouches are encouraged to fill out the belt, but are not required. Pouches with zippers shall have the zippers covered or concealed either with a matching fabric or tight weave webbing. Zipper pulls are either removed or hidden from view. -

Imperial Army Vendors. Parts resource list
Blackwatch replied to Blackwatch's topic in Imperial Army Units
topic checked again. There is a link in the boots section taking you to the incredible research Kessel has done, in providing us with acceptable boots that will meet the intent of Level 1 of the CRL. Always check with your GML, and if in doubt, ask us in the WIP if we will accept them for L2 specialist approval. -
Ok. wow. Thats something. Memories of writing that BFII rocket trooper. I did find a doulbe repeat of 'paiinted dark grey" that I dont believe should be there. The vents open towards the center of the pack. The side facing the exhaust jets is slanted at a 45 degree angle and has a recessed vent section detail painted dark gray painted dark gray on the fins and black to simulate looking into the pack. The vent opens towards the center of the pack. The side facing outwards past the shoulders has a circular detail in the center of a circular recessed area. The circular detail in the center has a raised

New CRL Proposal - Sith Trooper (TROS)
Blackwatch replied to RAIDER's topic in First Order Sith Trooper
This level of attention to detail sets Spec Ops apart. This CRL will surely be a top of the line uniform once the text is complete. -
wow....thats just gnarly
