  1. Very good. Ill give it until this evening to wait for further commentary. Then I will lock it down.
  2. After reviewing the image of the E11 posted on page 3, the ROTJ text lines up perfectly with Dels blaster. Hoses are pretty simple, they are just hoses. I want to keep this open until Sunday evening so others may comment, but after that point if there are no objections or chanes to be made I would like to lock down the hoses and E11 as final text, then move on to the DLT.
  3. Here is the E11 discussion. The E11 should be ROTJ style. I plan to copy over the ROTJ Stormtrooper text for simplicity, clarity and unity with the rest of the Legion CRL Wikis. E-11 Blaster - Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. + Details from other CRL ? OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): + The accurate E-11 version is from ROTj Change LOG 1 copied from ROTJ TK CRL BlasTech E-11 Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Folding stock (does not need to function). No ammo counter is present. D-ring mounted on the rear. Correct style scope. No power cylinders on the magazine housing. Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters have a total of (7) U shaped channels on blaster (all holes on barrel are covered). If using the popular commercially available Stormtrooper blasters, you shall grind off the T-tracks and replace them with U shaped channels and cover the open rows of holes (total of 7 U shaped channels in all). Correct greeblies on the left rear area are present (door catch and two "hammers").
  4. Ok, next up, we need to talk about hoses , which per Staff discussion we will retain. We will also discuss Blasters. Change Log 1 New text in orange. Hoses Hoses are ribbed rubber gas mask hoses 1.25" (31.75mm) in diameter. There are two plastic (polypropylene, pond hose etc.) or rubber gas mask hoses that run from the helmet ports to the chestbox ports. Hose length should be proportional to the wearer.
  5. hi Don good to see you here. Wow, good read and thank you for posting photos. Im reshooting my own Specialist approval phtoos tomorrow if the weather holds out. for Imgur, this forum is pretty easy, and I use the heck out of it. Click the button at the bottom of this window that says INSERT OTHER MEDIA, and click on insert image from URL. When I open IMGUR, I find the picture, and use Direct Link , copy the URL, and paste it into the window that opens when you click INSERT OTHER MEDIA / From URL. it will paste i the window and you can put multiple posts in . Thanks for posting and Ill be watching your progress. .
  6. Im considering picking one of my builds back up. How big is the WTF helmet compared to the Chef or Altmanns out of Australia?
  7. oh boy! are you aright about that. And yes Raider is correct. I was a GML once as well, and it comes down to your discussion with your GML and review of the CRL. We are removing the reference to the Flyye rig from the CRL because the rig is not correct, but it crept into the CRL years ago. If it was me I would make it from scratch, but thats just how I do things. Your GML will be using the CRL as written, until its replaced, which wont be for some time yet. But please post up photos so we can get a look at what you are getting. Also as another note, we are removing silver weathering and replacing that with staining/ weathered appearance. Please check ot the CRL discussion to see which way we are headed for future CRL text.
  8. I received word from Endortroopers that the Imperial Army patch is in production, and we can expect them to be available in the shop outside of a months. So, end of June beginning of July.
  9. I just looked over the proposal, this looks very reasonable. For the charred look, I do a lot of burnt metal on models. You can paint silver, but for scorching use dark blue, as either a stain or wash over the part. Let that dry the apply less wash/stain of dark brown. Let silver show through. With practice you get a great effect. On motorcycle pipes I sprayed clear bue Tamiya paint followed by Clear Smoke through my airbrush, but I dot see the blue look here.
  10. The beit is a certain size as far as plastic, then continues as webbing. Belt On the last part of the CRL description there is the line which describes the actual nylon/cotton web part of the belt, held by a single rivet. In reality the rivet is there to hold the end of the plastic belt to the webbing, but on all scout belts I have made, the webbing carried all the way around the persons waist, and the plastic boxes part of the belt was "along for the ride" so there is no stress put on the actual plastic joints. When it comes time, talk to your GML, but also check with other Scouts in your area. The Swampscout is virtually identical text to the Shadow Scout. Biker scouts have different text that says the same thing, it continues on as 2" webbing that closes in the back with velcro.
  11. I updated my Army purchase list last night . I have the ESS style on all my Spec Ops gear. You can find very inexpensive airsoft goggles that will fit the bill, and keep the square frame requirement. Mine came with a bunch of interchangeable lenses. Ultimately its up to he GML, to approve , but the top ridge is very round on that pair vs something like the ESS or UVEX .
  12. Chest Box The chest box is required to have the same configurations as seen in the photo. The chest box is held to the armor with an invisible system which is not visible when the box is removed. Strong magnets are advised. The chest box is painted glossy black and matches the sheen of the armor. The chest box has five detail pieces: 1 Red, 1 White, 1 black, 2 Blue. There is a 1/8" (3.1mm) thick white pinstripe border around the square detail pieces. There are two round indicator lights above the rocker switches, one white, one red respectively. There are three rocker switches below the round indicator lights. The rockers are always gray, white, gray. The gray rockers have red dots or indicator lamps in the bottom outfacing portion. There is a 1/8" (3.1mm) thick white pinstripe that runs horizontally across the bottom portion of the box. There is a male silver snap or radio jack and a silver round disc with cone knob greeblie on the lower portion of the box below the horizontal pinstripe. There are two "gear" type greeblies affixed to either end of the lower tube portion of the box, and are painted silver or metallic grey. There are two machined aluminum or molded silver greeblies in the hose ports of the box. See reference images and the CRL Gallery view. The hose port greeblies feature 8 round depressions around a raised disc. The color matches the gear type greeblies. Chestbox may be light to moderately weathered or stained. Silver is not permitted. The red and white indicator lights and rocker lamps may be functional. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):Box is electrically lit to include the red and white squares, both rocker lamp lights and the red and white indicator lights on top of the box. Box is based on the games 3d model and is scaled to the wearer and consistent with armor size.
  13. Face Hair is medium length with a part on the side swooped to the right and brown in color. Face is clean shaven. Sideburns do not extend past bottom of ear canal.
  14. Because of the difficulties I have had above with format, I will leave this set with the extra spacing. This extra spacing may need to be removed for final CRL use. Holster Holster is made of black leather or leather-like material. A Stormtrooper style holster is acceptable for basic approval. Holster is worn on left side of belt. Holster is attached via 2 black leather straps which pass behind the belt, using two fasteners in the middle of the belt. Fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws. Note: The straps are slightly longer for this holster then seen on Stormtroopers. There is a retention strap which ends in a point approximately 1/2" (12.7mm) beyond a black snap closure. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The holster is made of leather. A leather square is seen under the rivet at the top corners of the holster where the straps are mounted. Holster is worn empty. Boots Calf high black leather or leather-like material. Boots are dull in appearance. Similar design to tall German jack boots or tall motorcycle riding boots are acceptable for basic approval. Boot has a round, plain toe. Harness style or box toe boots are not to be approved. Ankle straps are to be removed. Typical jackboots are not acceptable as they are too short. The boot shaft must rise as close to the bottom of the knees as possible. The boot shall be as tall as required to achieve this appearance. See reference images. Boots have an adjustment strap on the out facing side of the boot. Adjustment strap has a square, silver adjustment buckle. Heels are made of rubber or similar material and may have tread or no tread. Boots may contain zipper closure but must be concealed with boot material as to not be visible. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Boots stops just below wearers knees. Shaft height should be 15" (38cm) or as required to stop just below the wearers knees. Boots have a flap with adjustment strap with square silver buckle that starts at the middle back of the boot and wraps around to the outfacing sides. See reference images for shape of the adjustment flap and strap. Boots are not shiny, they have a matte appearance.
  15. Again, I am having a lot of trouble getting the text to line up. Thermal Detonator Attached to the back of the belt is a rectangular gloss black Thermal Detonator with a black corrugated hose. The ends of the hose is covered by gloss black end caps. The Thermal detonator fits between the two back belt pouches. There are two silver detail greeblies on the central box. These details consist of a dome-shaped greeblie on the left side of the box and rectangular greeblie with various designs on the right side of the box. For basic (Level 1) approval a gloss black Shadow Scout style Thermal Detonator with standard greeblies is acceptable, as long as the greeblies are painted silver. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Made from the game's 3d model and scaled to the wearer. The detonator consists of a boxy central structure containing a ribbed hose, and end caps which are "closed" where the tube enters the end cap. The detonator box features a round dome-shaped greeblie approximately 5/8" (15.8mm) on the left side and a 3/4" x 1.5" (19mm x 32.7mm ) rectangular greeblie featuring various designs as seen in the reference images. The standard shadow scout thermal detonator is not accurate and is not to be used for Level 2 approval.
  16. Scout Style Pouches Two "scout" style pouches are made of black matte canvas or canvas-like material. The "scout" style pouches are filled to appear full and worn at the back of the belt. The pouches will leave sufficient room for the Thermal Detonator mounted between them. Pouches may be hung from the tactical vest waist strap, or from the over-belt strap, at the wearers choice. Pouches are a maximum of 6 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 2 inches (152mm tall x 127mm wide and 50.8mm deep). The lower edge of the flap will not be wider than 2 1/2" (63.5mm). Pouches are proportional to the size of the wearer and match in-game references. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Scout style pouches match in game references. Bottom edge of the pouch flap is less than half the overall width of the pouch. Pouch outer flap has a stitch set back 5/16" (8mm) from the edge.
  17. Over Belt The over-belt consists of 5 gloss black boxes made of ABS or similar plastic, mounted to a leather or leather like waist strap which closes under the thermal detonator. The waist strap is approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide. The over belt is worn around the under belt, so that the top third of the under belt shows above the ove-rbelt. There are special-shaped boxes on left and right of the 3 central boxes which are horizontal in position as seen in reference photos. A total of 8 rivets are present with 2 rivets mounted vertically on the left and right at the edge of the special-shaped boxes. Hanging from the right side of the belt is a hip box made out of hard material. This is connected to the belt by 1.5" (40mm) wide black leather or leather-like straps. The strap is and as long as necessary to allow the box to hang on the wearers right hip. For basic L1 approval a standard Scout style hip box may be approved. The strap is attached to the front of the over-belt through a slot on the right side of the central box. The back end of the strap goes behind the under-belt, to the left side of the thermal detonator. The hip box strap has 1.5" (40mm) quick release buckles on the front and back. Each buckle is attached at the mid point of the strap. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The rigid front portion of the outer belt is made from the game's 3d model and scaled to the wearer. The box is smaller than a typical scout box, is curved, the back is closed with a back plate, and features a rectangular depression near the bottom out facing side of the box. The boxes may be lightly stained or weathered. Silver is not permitted.
  18. Imperial Officer style Under Belt The belt is constructed from leather or a leather-like material. A very slight texture is acceptable. Approximately 2" (50.8mm) in width, up to 3" (76.2mm) is acceptable. There are no loops or extra holes on the belt. A single large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25.4mm) from the left side of the buckle. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal looking material. The buckle size is approximately 2 5/8" (66.7mm) high and 4 1/8" (104.5mm) wide with 0.5" (12.7mm) radius rounded corners. Buckle is adorned with an Imperial Code Disk at the center. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Belt is made of non-textured leather. Two parallel grooves run the length of the belt 1/8" (3.1mm) in from edge. Snap is worn to the left of the wearer 1" (25mm) from the buckle edge. Buckle has a slight horizontal curve.
  19. Shoulder Ammo Pouch There is an MP-40 ammo pouch attached to the left shoulder and must be filled. The pouch is black in color and made of canvas, or canvas-like material. Closure straps are made of black leather or leather-like material. There is a small pouch on the bottom of the pouch at the right side. Pouch stitching is black. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Attachment is not seen. No straps are visible. Magnets or other source of firm mounting is advised. Oiler pouch is attached to the bottom right side of the right pouch.
  20. NOTE In editor view I can see all my text lined up perfecdtly but as soon as I hit SAVE the text goes all over the screen. I have tried to fix this three times. TACTICAL VEST The tactical vest is black Cordura nylon. All straps are black. There are a total of fourteen 1" (25mm) wide straps sewn to the tactical vest, with four laying horizonatally on either side of the pouches, and two at the front of each pouch. Straps are sewn to match reference images. There are three M4 / M16 magazine pouches, with each filled by a rectangular package covered in the same fabric as the tactical vest. The packages fill the pouches completely, and extend above the pouch. Each packages has a plastic strip mounted at top facing forward. Strip size is 5/32" x 1/2" to 2 5/8" (4mm x 12mm x 68mm). There is a black canvas-covered block on the right side of the vest matching references, with a 1" ( 25mm )wide strip of elastic or webbing mounted to the vest, going across the front of the block. The main shoulder straps consist of ribbed leather or leather-like material. The front portion of the ribbed shoulder straps measure 1 3/8" (35mm). The front shoulder strap buckles are tri-glide buckles. Vest-front tri-glides are attached to the vest with 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" (35mm x 35mm) loops. The quick release buckles on the back of the vest are attached by 1" (25 mm) loops. There is a an approximately 1.5" x 1" (38mm x 25mm) specific buckle greeblie mounted above the tri-glide buckles on each side matching reference images. The shoulder straps cross near the top of the back armor box. Each shoulder strap has a tri-glide that the end of each strap feeds into, near the back armor box shape. See reference photos and the Costume Gallery for placement. There is a 1" (25mm) leather or leather-like waist strap present at the back of the tactical vest, and it is attached to the vest with one quick release buckle on the right or left side of the vest at the wearers option. This quick release buckle is hidden under the scout pouch, and is not seen when worn. A single adjusting tri-glide is centered on the back waist strap. The Flyye tactical vest is not accurate and should be avoided. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The vest is fitted to the wearer. All vest shoulder and waist straps are made of black leather. Vest front tri-glides are specific to the games 3d model, and are attached to the vest with 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"(35mm x 35mm) leather loops. Game- specific 3d model buckle style greeblies are attached to the leather shoulder straps above the tri-glides. See reference images and the Costume Gallery for placement. Front shoulder straps which go over the shoulder and continue to the back are made of 3 layers of ribbed/ grooved leather strips which are glued/sewed/bonded together. The first (bottom) layer is 1 3/8" (35mm) with the middle layer added to that. The middle layer shall be 1" (25mm) wide. The final layer is centered on top of the first two layers, and is 9/16" (15mm) wide. The three bonded strips run the length of the forward portion of the shoulder strap assembly. The grooved part of the leather shoulder straps stop just past the wearers shoulders, and continues on as a single 1" (25mm) black leather strap, passing through tri-glides and into specific quick release buckles, which are held to the vest with 1" (25mm) black leather loops. (see Reference Images and the Costume Gallery for placement and construction. The quick-release buckles on the back of the vest, which hold the shoulder straps, are attached by 1" (25 mm) black leather loops. The back waist strap has a single quick release buckle mounted to the right side of the vest using 1" (25mm) black leather loop. This buckle is hidden under the scout style pouch and is not seen when worn.

  23. very good, moving on to the next section. As a note, all of the finalized sections will be moved to the Del Meeko CRL final text topic, which is separate from this topic. I have my own TIE pilot rig lit up and at night in the dark, my box stands out. I took a second review of the images on Page 1 of the topic and see the lights now. The gear greeblie on the bottom of the box, as well as the inset "connector port" for a TIE pilot hose in the upper donut appear dark, perhaps dark metallic in game play mode. In promo art, it looks silver. Which shall we go with ?
