  1. Jayson we are currently under a HEAVY and I do mean HEAVY rewrite of the CRL. The CRL was put together a long time ago and is not up to current standards. I would invite you to read our current CRL discussion, our research, and what we are writing to present to the LMO. The CRL as it stands today can be approved by your Garrison GML, as it is published. As a matter of fact, the chestbox is the next option our rewrite team will be addressing.
  2. I have emailed endorfinders about the availability of these patches.
  3. This topic has been checked, verified and updated as required. Make sure to consult your GML prior to purchases.
  4. Ok. Clear and Lock. Moving on. HERE. WE. GO. ACCESSORIZE!!!! This will be the discussion of the Optional parts of the uniform, which are not required for approval, but these will all likely be required for Specialist. That is up for discussion. Optional Accessories Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use. Face Medium length with a part on the side swooped to the right and brown in color. New text in Orange Updated text in Green Removed text in red strikethrough Change Log 1 Face Hair is Medium length with a part on the side swooped to the right and brown in color.
  5. welcome and hello. Yes its great to have a blaster for approval photos, but not required per our Charter, since some Garrisons are not allowed to have any kind of weapon depending on local laws. I was going to make a T21 (WWI British Lewis Gun) and found plans online to make my own. it would have been a proper Lewis gun for a Anti-Tripod BEF team costume from the Martians second coming in 1913. Years ago before 3d printing we made a lot of our weapons out of wood etc. Its a fair amount of work, but I love to make things. Best of luck!
  6. CHANGE LOG 1 .2 I will be leaving the holster section as-is. Only boot changes will be made in CL 1.2. Holster Holster is made of black leather or leather-like material. A Stormtrooper style holster is acceptable for basic approval. Holster is worn on right left side of belt. Holster is attached via 2 straps which pass behind the belt, using two fasteners in the middle of the belt. The fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws. Note: The straps are slightly longer for this ROTJ holster then seen on the other Original Trilogy Stormtroopers. There is a retention strap which ends in a point approximately 1/2" (12.7mm) beyond a black snap closure. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The holster is made of leather. A leather square is seen under the rivet at the top corners of the holster where the straps are mounted. Holster is worn empty. Boots Calf high black leather or leather-like material. Boots are dull in appearance. Similar design to tall German jack boots or tall motorcycle riding boots are acceptable for basic approval. Boot has a round, plain toe. Harness style or box toe boots are not to be approved. Ankle straps are to be removed. Typical jackboots are not acceptable as they are too short. The boot shaft must rise as close to the bottom of the knees as possible. The boot shall be as tall as required to achieve this appearance. See reference images. Boots have a flap with adjustment strap that starts at the middle back of the boot and wraps around to the outfacing sides. on the out facing side of the boot. Adjustment strap has a square, silver adjustment buckle. Heels are made of rubber or similar material and may have tread or no tread. Boots may contain zipper closure but must be concealed with boot material as to not be visible. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): + Jackboots are not accurate, the boots are custom made according to the specific design seen in references. Boots stops just below wearers knees. Shaft height should be 15" (38mm) or as required to stop just below the wearers knees. e. Boots have a flap with adjustment strap with square silver buckle that starts at the middle back of the boot and wraps around to the outfacing sides. See reference images for shape of the adjustment flap and strap. Boots are not shiny, they have a matte appearance.
  7. motorcycle boots are not made with those flaps. a person will have to go to a cobbler and have it added. Ive had several pairs of very tall moto boots, and I look at them online constantly, and outside of real officer boots with that adjustment, its not part of the "big boot world". By big boots I mean size 14 and above, and with a calf size of 22 inches or better.
  8. I am 5'10" tall and my boots are 16" tall, and pretty much stop where these boots stop. I use motorcycle boots because of my monster size 14 EEE asskickers.
  9. Next I would like to tackle both the holster and the boots. If I find that both start to get technical, I will split the discussion. Original Text:' Change Holster The holster is made of black leather or leather-like material and be worn on the left side and affixed via two black loops over the belt. 10. finalized text with all requested changes made. Please give it a look over and comment. Change Log 1.2 (FINAL TEXT) Thermal Detonator Attached to the back of the belt is a rectangular gloss black Thermal Detonator with a black corrugated hose. The ends of the hose is covered by gloss black end caps. The Thermal detonator fits between the two back belt pouches. There are two silver detail greeblies on the central box. These details consist of a dome-shaped greeblie on the left side of the box and rectangular greeblie with various designs on the right side of the box. For basic (Level 1) approval a gloss black Shadow Scout style Thermal Detonator with standard greeblies is acceptable, as long as the greeblies are painted silver. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Made from the game's 3d model and scaled to the wearer. The detonator consists of a boxy central structure containing a ribbed hose, and end caps which are "closed" where the tube enters the end cap. The detonator box features a round dome-shaped greeblie approximately 5/8" (15.8mm) on the left side and a 3/4" x 1.5" (19mm x 32.7 mm ) rectangular greeblie featuring various designs as seen in the reference images. The standard shadow scout thermal detonator is not accurate and is not to be used for Level 2 approval.

  12. when we wrote it, it all appeared black. I saw nowthing that looked metallic. I think it would be easy enough to add "black or dark, weathered metallic grey. Weathering and appearance must be consistent".
  13. guys I've had my hands in other piles lately so I'm just really getting to this. Here are things I noted: Is this a modified real world glove? do we know the glove it was modified from? I know there's differences between US and Commonwealth English, my only concern is this line " Gloves are all black consisting " to my old American brain the word "of" would need to be added to the line to read "Gloves are all black consisting of:" I would like to replace all "(as shown) " in the descriptions with "(See gallery image)" since we will have all the photos in the costume gallery. Standardize all the measurments to IN(mm) in keeping with the other CRLs.
  14. one final pass we will need to double check punctuation and make sure all measurements are updated to the IN(mm) format 1" to form a rectangular section
  15. ive looked it over, just need to remove extra bullet points, put the text measurements into the standardized format, and double check punctuation.
  16. weve got a lot of measurements in Del but since it has to be specific to the wearer, we have a base measurement as well as L2 level "must be proportional to the wearer:. If some one is going to make a kit of this, then lthe belt should, -should I say- be the right size for the kit, but that's not always the case. Once we get the text the way we want it we need to clean up and standardize the measurements IN (mm).
  17. Ready to do the next section, the Thermal Detonator. The detonator is quite more detailed than this, so I would like to go over this as a single section. Thermal Detonator - The thermal detonator is attached to the center of the back of the belt. - Thermal detonator is gloss black in color - Silver button details are present on the central box. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): + Made from the game's 3d model and scaled to the wearer + Biker Scout TD is NOT accurate, the one used here is smaller. 18. Ok then, I guesss we are ready to lock it down. Let move on to the next section.
  19. Change Log 1.1 (FINAL) Scout Style Pouches Two "scout" style pouches are made of black matte canvas or canvas-like material. The "scout" style pouches are filled to appear full and worn at the back of the belt. The pouches will leave sufficient room for the Thermal Detonator mounted between them. Pouches may be hung from the tactical vest waist strap, or from the over-belt strap, at the wearers choice. Pouches are a maximum of 6 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 2 inches (152 mm tall0 x 127mm wide and 50.8mm deep). The lower edge of the flap will not be wider than 2 1/2" (63.5mm). Pouches are proportional to the size of the wearer and match in-game references. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Scout style pouches match in game references. Bottom edge of the pouch flap is less than half the overall width of the pouch. Pouch outer flap has a stitch set back 5/16" (8mm) from the edge.
  20. alight then, Ill make that change and update the CL for the scout pouch. Change Log 1.0 Scout Style Pouches Two "scout" style pouches are made of black matte canvas or canvas like material The "scout" style pouches which are filled to appear full, and worn at the back of the belt. 21. Ok, so would it be fair to say we are happy with the Change Log 1.1 and the pouch proposal? lock those down and move on?
  22. Scout Style pouches I would like to split out the Scout style pouches as a separate piece because I believe leaving it as a single line item will add confusion. I believe it should have its own sub section. PROPOSAL: Scout Style Pouches Two "scout" style pouches are made of black matte canvas or canvas like material The "scout" style pouches which are filled to appear full, and worn at the back of the belt. The pouches will leave sufficient room for the Thermal Detonator mounted between them. Pouches are proportional to the size of the wearer and match in-game references. 23. yeah we are doing a heavy rewrite on the Army trooper. The correct boots are still out there, the commuter IIs. IMO even 9" shaft motorcycle boots painted green will look that way for L1. Doing the same with the sapper/ Engineer.
