Congratulations on approval! The muddy nasty pumps are over there..............................

Im of the same opinion: for non LFL events if your local staff is cool with it wear it. Theres always going to be variation. Anyone who ever served and actually WORE field gear knows this. its a conversation starter for certain. My memory of anything before breakfast today is fuzzy at best but everything discussed from our in-house perpsective would be in the discussion topics including the guy with the weird helmet and vibrolance.

sigh...oh how I wish I could wear these.

New CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to Tarrif's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
Ok, so lets look at rewording this, keeping jacks for an L1 and commuters for an L2. Additions in cyan and removals in red strikethrough. L2 requirements are a direct copy of the Sapper boot requirements. L1 requirements are shared from the Army Trooper using its verbage. I propose black OR green since I believe the intent of the all green uniform is to maintan consistency extending to the boots. I also added weathering option to both since we cannot tell for certain what color they are because of all the mud. PROPOSED CHANGE: Boots For 501st approval: Mid- Calf high black or olive green leather or leather like material. Jackboot or similar style. Free of laces, decorative stitching, buckles on the instep or any other embellishments. Boots may have a single adjustment strap at the top outside of the boot, with the buckle no wider than 1". This need not be functional Zippers on the inside of the boot are acceptable, so long as they are concealed. If the zipper is not covered by vinyl/ leather, it is painted to match the boot. Trouser leg shall be "bloused" down over boot shaft to show no more than 9" (23cm) of the boot. Tread on the soles and heel are acceptable. Weathering on boots is acceptable. For level 2 certification (if applicable) "Commuter" style boot 8-9" (20-23cm) in height. Calf high boots such as "jackboots" or "kersey" style are not acceptable. Black leather or leather like material. Free of laces, decorative stitching, buckles or any other embellishments. Normal leather grain/texture/lines are acceptable. Tread on the soles and heels is acceptable Zippers on the inside of the boot are acceptable, so long as they are concealed. If not covered by leather or vinyl, zippers are painted black. Weathering on boots is acceptable.- 119 replies

its hard to tell, even looking at it compared ot the natural light photos taken behind the set outdoors. Puis you are going to weather the hell out of it. -

New CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
Blackwatch replied to Tarrif's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
blousing a jackboot to just above half its height will work, i just prefer to have the actual commuter boot. We still have Jacks for the Engineer and the Imperial Army trooper for basic approval..however it is my commited belief that since Lt Sunber is in an all green uniform as an Army officer, his boots are green as well, which brings us to the green paint used on the Commuters. We can say only one thing about the Lt's boots--they are dirty! In keeping with best practice, allow the jackboot for l1 approval, bloused down to no lower than 8" of the shaft showing. Rebel pilots do this all the time if they happen to own taller motorcylce style boots, often using "blousing rubbers". I would strongly support Green Commuters for L2 and specialist. This keeps Lt. Sunber aligned with the IAT.- 119 replies

The Engineer CRL will show Jack's because that's what I had when the CRLpics were taken. You'd need to blouse it way down since only about eight inches shows on the boot under the trouser leg anyway. Commuters are required for Sappers and the Sapper is the next step from the Engineer.

Imperial Army Patches- WHO NEEDS THEM?
Blackwatch replied to Blackwatch's topic in Imperial Army Units
Troopers I got confirmation that there are hundreds of the patches in stock. I do believe we can outfit an Army! that said, keep two things in mind: This weekend is Celebration and troopers are attending this event. Secondly once Celebration is over and people have a chance to return and get back into the groove of shipping etc, make contact with the seller (Walts Trooper Factory) and inquire--it IS possible an order was overlooked. -
i just went through a batch of resin and 3d printed greeblies today for a typical TIE. Nothing like metal

Sith Trooper (709th Legion Red Fury)
Blackwatch replied to Spiel's topic in First Order Sith Trooper
my take on this and the other poster with the "red glow" was that it was a fan made poster. I also took the red coloration to be saber glow. I rather like the shape of this helmet, and your print is brilliant. -
wow, what great photos. thank you for sharing these with us. I love that you are showing and explaining each step. That is going to help out a lot of people. how did you route down the goggle frame? cylinder cutter and a steady hand?

CRL Development - Imperial Army Sapper (Complete)
Blackwatch replied to Blackwatch's topic in Imperial Army Sapper
Hey everybody after looking at thanks thing for what a year now, and struggling with my pack issue where the lower explosive charge collides with the back pouch on the Belt I looked at the artwork again and I see that the pouch is present when the for explosive charges are on the backpack but I do not see evidence of the pouch when the lower cylindrical charge is mounted to the bottom of the pack. Neil was able to get his pack on with his ex plosive and pouch. Should we make the back pouch optional if the explosive is used at the bottom of the pack?
